Surprised there isn't a thread already for this place. Play there pretty regularly. I think a lot of 2p2ers might play at the charity rooms...maybe not. Curious to hear about experiences playing 2/5 and 5/10...hourly winnings, etc. They both play deep and look super fishy...a handful of the big 1/2 fish play in these games...fwiw I make 20-$25/hr playing 1/2 and don't really tilt anymore.

Also curious if there's any good restaurants/fun stuff to do in this place besides teh poker and smokey pit games. Haven't ventured off very far from the poker room/downstairs bar.

When do you usually play?

I've been down there on thursdays and saturdays, but now that school is finishing up, I'd like to play 4-5 days a week then hopefully make that jump to 2/5.

I noticed the 2/5 is more aggressive than 1/2 even at MC and certain nitty regs will get off overpairs if you just play your hands right. Small ppairs go down in value at some tables, whereas hands that flop well go up.

It seems to me so far that there are 80% of players that fit 2 categories: 1) nits who are so weak tight that semibluffing works super well, and 2) fish you can value town.

Quite a good combination

Tumater, did you quit playing on the merge?

logged 20 sessions past month, usually playing between 8pm-4am, sometimes a quick one before running down to wayne

no more merge

2/5 definitely plays differently than 1/2, but is still extremely soft. lot of limped pots still. no light 3bets. lot of spots to own people. i wouldn't hesitate to take shots.

Looking forward to taking shots. Nice start to the thread. I've had the buffet there before but was not bowled over by it or anything. Nice, over priced, all you can eat.

I have not enjoyed the last two sessions I played at MCC. Nitfest. Greektown action is better imo. Still can't find bigger games anywhere else.

bummer, didnt read this till i got home. I was the tall guy playing 2/5 with bright yellow shirt on incase u saw me, table 7 seat 8

I sweated a good buddy in the midst of dropping 3k at bj. Lost 200 myself. Went downstairs and shipped 88 pre at 1/2, currently up 70.

Really? I was playing at Table 7....didn't notice. I think I was at table 1 for like 5 hands around 9pm til I got called for 2/5.
