this is true sometimes, there are some good ones at FW too but in general your right.

but other than 1/2 and 2/5 NL action (which FW comps better AND has way better room promos etc). there is no reson to play there if your a limit player all the action is at FW and lets be honest most limit grinders would rather take the comps.

dont get me wrong mohegan is nicer but I think they dropped the ball big time when they firsr opened and are going to have to do something to get those type of players over there IMO.

Today someone was jumping up and down like a lunatic, yelling "YES, YES, YES, YES"... then he sat back down and said.. "what? ****!" and the whole room started to laugh.

I heard that he had a royal and he thought he won the high hand but then found out that you have to use both your whole cards to qualify.

A 2/5 player actually hit the royal at my table today.

Anyone play in the saturday morning $125 bounty NL tourney at 9am? Hows the field, is it soft? How big is the field and how much was the first place payout? Standard 10% places paid?

I played in it at the end of March. There were 79 players and they paid 7 or 8 spots. I forget what first was paying but we chopped at 5 for $1000 each (plus my 6 bounties). I thought it was a good tournament with a nice blind structure.

If a player voluntarily changes NL tables but remains in the same stakes, does he have to take all the chips to the next table, or can he but in for whatever he wants there within the limit?

With a NL table change, the player has to buy-in like a new player.

Your Welcome DMW, I am an Army MP, and we are doing the Police Transition Team (PTT) Mission. To give you a little update on how things are going here, it is going very well. Most of the IP stations do not need us anymore. I love my mission, it is giving the people the power to kick the terrorists out of their own communities because they (the Iraqi people) want to.

I will try to set a good example as well. I have been really thinking about about the game while I am here as well as reading and playing. I had a racetrack table built and we play nightly for .25/.50 NL with about 15-20 people over the course of the night. We have so much time on our hands and play so much now, other units have been coming over to our area, it is becoming very competitive and loose, LOL!

"Bonus", what bonus? Paying an additional $1 rake doesn't cut it. If they are going to do it they should darn well fund it themselves.

Exactly! I was getting 3 points per hour at FW. At MS, I don't get enough to pay for lunch. Big difference.

how is that not a bonus for regulars? those who play there the most will win it the most!

It's not a bonus the players are paying for it.

I've been paying attention to this thread pretty much since it got started, but I wanted to see if I could get some updated info.

I'm going to be @ MS this Thursday night and I'll be looking to play any of the following (in order of preference):

4/8 HOPE (or some other mixed game variant)
4/8 O8
1/2 PLO
4/8 or 3/6 LHE
1/2 NLHE

I know there will be plenty of 1/2 NLHE going on, but if anyone could give me some insight as to whether I can expect to see the other games running and (if applicable) how many tables of all of the above (including 1/2 NLHE) I can expect to see running I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Ok Time to stop lurking, I have been spending a bunch of time at MS lately, it is hard to drive past those nice comfy chairs and the squishy games to go to FW for better variety.


4/8 HOPE - (or some other mixed game variant)Usually a 3/6 HORSE list going, game goes most often on weekend nights, last time I played it on a Sunday night we switched to ORE to avoid the stupid High Hand, mostly a lot of cranky/funny regs (present company included)
4/8 O8 - Not usually, make a list I'll join it.
1/2 PLO - dunno, not my thing
4/8 or 3/6 LHE - 1-3 tables 3-6, not much 4-8, some 2-4 no-foldem too.
1/2 NLHE - lots and lots of tables, not my thing.

As of 2:30 today the 2-5 nl is now going to be 300-1000 gonna be some deep stacks there prob gonna check it out later tonite around 7........I love the idea of having a wide range to play for I heard there going to put the game up in high limit during the week..eating at the table...etc etc etc

It's a zero sum game. The more you play the more you pay.

Smart move on their part. There are a lot of empty seats up there. If they let me eat at the table that is enough incentive for me. Only problem I see is that if the max is now a grand, it will probably attract more of the 5/10 players and not the 1/2's

2/5 NL, 3 or 4
5/10 NL, 1
2/4 or 3/6 mix game, 1 maybe.
4/8 O8, 1 maybe.
1/2 PLO, 1 - It goes, but not any set day or time.
2/4 limit, 4 or 5 games
3/6 limit, 1 or 2 games
6/12 limit, they try to push this limit, but it hasn't caught on yet.
1-5 Stud, 1 or 2 games
5/10 Stud, 1 maybe.
200/400 limit HOSE 1 game.

For PLO fans, it goes for a while once or twice a weekend now. Ill start tracking it more. I went in to deal it last week and said " Brown trout, 'sup bro " and got nothing. So its not the 2+2ers who are playing
