+ a million to not playing cash after playing a tourney. I donked off a bunch after getting knocked out of a bounty tourney a month or so ago. I'm hoping to go down Thursday night. I'll be the one giving you all my chips.

Sadly, I should have said something, but I was just out of it after coming frm the feeder.
Aha! Ok, then. Well, good to have met you. In the above discussion about regs, etc, did I appear to be a reg? Did you know who I was (2p2) while you were at the table? I would love to get some feedback on my table image...

And don't worry about the shove - I remember it and it wasn't a bad spot at all.

I think at that point I was actually on my 3rd buyin and having the same kind of night - run KK into AA from BTN vs SB; flop trips w 2nd kicker vs some donk's boat; get KK, QQ, KK again and take down only blinds & limps every time... you get the picture. (It did improve vastly, though, later.)

It's poker, part of being ready for the game is being ready for the variance. It definitely sucks when you have a night full of missed draws/vills hit theirs, but it's all in the game. The best players in the world can't win every night. Lack of mental toughness/tilt resistance is just a huge leak for so many otherwise good+ players.

Remind yourself (if you are a winning player and have the stats to back it up) that if you're losing tonight, it's because lady luck is against you - when she's even or better, you win! It always makes me feel better to be able to think "I'm just unlucky tonight" instead of "zomfgwutswrong whycantiwinisucksomuch."

Table image? I strongly suspected that you were not a reg, and I apologize for not introducing myself formally .

I am usually sufficient against tilt, but it was the most I have lost in a pot this year (and with top set and 76o), coupled with being lectured about shoving $105 into a $200+ pot with a set of queens (which I hope was a level), I was just looking for a spot to shove pretty much from the moment I moved to our game...I know why I piked the spot that I did, but I knew that I had almost no equity should I get a caller. (who also happened to be drawing )

I know that it all evens out over time, but it is still tough on the psyche to win so many sessions back to back in 1/2 in April and literally see it all go busto from 2 buy-ins at 2/5 because your set is no good >_<.

true enough. taking a shot and getting f****d by variance is on the worse side of things. i lost $4k worth of pots taking a shot at 5/10 and getting it in as a slight (60%) to significant (75%+) favorite - bought myself a negative month with those, heh.

i feel like the insidious part of this game is that when you're running good, you can't imagine how you could ever lose. and then when you do it's a double shock.

Yow! Those are some tough 5/10 beats--how are the players there compared to 2/5? I mean, although I had 2 losing sessions, I stand by my observation that I do not see any spectacular difference between 1/2 and 2/5...I lost in situations that reminded me of 1/2 situations. (I mean, I do not even limp with 76o)

All in all, I am actually still up for April, $194 to be exact. I think that about covers gas >_<. I may be back, but I have some other things to sort out, first.

So I have officially played with AnyMouse! *checks off list* xxbeatxx, I THINK I might have played with you (then again, non-asian female is a rather vague description)--remember any shady-looking characters in grey hoodies? That is me .

And Toothpicker, I do remember names, but I cannot say--I have been mod-slapped in the past for it.

IWearSportsJerseys, I didn't meant to be rude.
When I have a loosing sessions I always assume that it is strictly my fault or
just game variance at some hands. I lost quad A once and I still remember ,
that I didn't see it coming till the end. Still cannot blame myself for that and
will push allin with my quads again and again.

It was actually online... haven't played 5/10 at the Sun, yet. I'd actually love to hear a report on it if anyone has played it.

I would love to meet you. I hate to say it but it is rare to come across another good female poker player.

The last time that I was at Foxwoods, you were the hot topic of conversation at my table.

Yes I did! It was handed to me while I was isolated from the world in a ziplock baggy with my name written on it. I felt like my mom came to school and gave me my forgotten lunch money.

Well, I'll be at Mohegan tomorrow afternoon until who knows. If you see me play in person, you can be the judge if I'm good or not - plenty of people post on here and I'm sure they aren't good. But let me know when you go and if my schedule is clear then I might make the trip.

My friend told me that he went to Mohegan on Saturday and that they were still talking about it. It's like geeeeeez, I'm 21 already! (Brag: turned 21 yesterday, weeee!)

Its been like that game, IDK what it's called, telephone game? When you whisper something to someone and they go to the next person, and so on till the final person says what they heard and it is all different from the original.

My understanding is that you played under age, hit the BBJ, denied payment, allowed to cashout, and escorted out of casino. Were you technically arrested? If so I figure it was like when you get a speeding ticket?

In the poker room I've heard crazy different versions, like they didn't let you cash out and your money got confiscated, you were drinking and they arrested you for underage drinking, escorted you out in cuffs and into a cruiser then you spent the night in jail. Lots of crazy stuff.

I would def think about how in what way this can help your stategy. I expect you're going to get asked a ton of questions for a while, being a friggin poker legend and all right now

LMFAOOOOOO. I was at Foxwoods the day before I hit the BBJ. I had a drink then. But the night I hit the bbj I didn't drink anything. I was technically arrested (no cuffs LOL) and charged with a misdemeanor but after my court date all of the charges were dropped. I did receive one of those white papers that made it look like an infraction, but I got other papers too and I assure you, it was more than just a "ticket." Anyways I'm all clear now so it doesn't really matter to me.
