I have expressed this exact thought to multiple players in this game and none of them seem to want to act on it. At the current stakes, if a hand is played heads up and goes to showdown with a bet on every street (which happens about 80-90% of the time) if the pot is chopped after rake and each player tipping you are basically breaking even and in some instances each player loses a couple of bucks. Why on earth would you want to expose yourself to risking multiple bets with the expectation of breaking even? This has to be one of the worst bets in the casino.

Add me to the list of players who want to play slightly bigger 10/20 you have my interest and I’ll be a semi-regular. Current structure pretty much unbeatable. 10x more fun than any NLH game but it’s just too small.

I played in the 2/5 PLO on Thursday and there were 2 full tables with a lot of action and pots regularly over 2K.
Mostly regs based on everyone knowing each others names.
One particular player at my table was drinking heavily raising 90 % hands blind, even saw him tip an EVS worker $20.
Spread the word, PLO could potentially run daily @ Mohegan from now on!

Agree none of them me included don’t want to go to 10 20 you would lose 80 90% players.
If you want to try 10 20 with kill post a list and see what happens.
Years ago at the woods we had 1 to three tables at 4 8 with half kill but some wanted to go to 10 20 full kill and and we lost most low limit players and eventually that game ended.
The Player host has worked hard to get these games going now 3 days a week and a few plo8 once a month.
It all comes down to the player pool
Just my opinion

This is why maybe just maybe a 9/18 might work maybe add a kill to 15/30. People might be psychologically enticed to play a new limit with “specialty chips” made just for that game.

Mohegan is gaining a lot of the Woods 2/5 PLO players and many MS regs are playing. It's becoming a mega hub for PLO and NL in the area. Good chance Woods is toast soon if the rumors of the bigger mixed coming over happens.

And 5/10 nl on Wed/Fri/Sat btw for anyone that wants to come play with us. Would love to add days.

Fwoods has been toast for some time.. 300k+ BBJ and they can't get more than 6 1-2 games on a Saturday night? They do absolutely nothing for poker and haven't hosted even a weekend tournament series in almost 4 years now. The demand is there they obviously wanna phase us out NBD. Mohegan it is.

Agreed. We would lose 3/4 of our players if we went higher than 8. 16 limit. It took me a while to convince the four eight and the 5. 10 players to step up to 8:16. Without them we are toast. Monday Tuesday and Wednesday games are going very well. In fact at this moment that I write this we have two tables going on a Wednesday. Last week we had two tables going on Tuesday and Wednesday. Now I like playing higher I would like to get a 20. 40 O. E game going once a WEEK. But it cannot be on a Monday Tuesday or Wednesday. So if you guys who would like to play higher let me know what day you're looking at and what Stakes , and I might try to put something together if I get enough response. But please don't tell me you'd like to have that game and then not show up. That would be weak.
I invite all suggestions. But Monday Tuesday and Wednesdays 8:16 game. Game stays . Thanks

By the way we are having our regular first Sunday of the month 8:16 horse game on November 5th. At 11:00 a.m. Also on November 12th we are having a 1-2 PLO8 Hi-Lo game at 1:00 p.m..

Played PLO at MS yesterday.. the game finally started earlier.

Apparently the game runs after 7pm usually so that’s the deal for plo at MS.

Mostly the same players as fw player pool w the exception of a couple unfamiliar players.

Relevant to the recent discussions in this thread, dealers yesterday were being trained to deal badugi in advance of "the big game" moving from Foxwoods to Mohegan Sun.

Looks like Mohegan got two tables of 2-5plo yesterday while fw only had 1. Games starting earlier there seems like everyone got the memo.

Is a Thursday afternoon HORSE or any mix possible? Was thinking of heading down

Actually three full 2/5 PLO games with list.

One 1/2 crazy pineapple.

Double status day brings them out.

Played last Thursday game was running all night and seems to consistently at least 5 days week.
It seems like a couple action players really dictate when game starts and how it plays.
Anyone confirn?
At one point there was a player announcing his cards preflop multiway.
Can't say I've ever seen/heard that before.

Glad Mohegan is getting more popular as I always prefer the play setting (old room was preferred but whatever). My only fear with FW "phasing out" poker is that MS can then raise rake even more because they'll have a strangle hold on the whole market.

We have a horse game this Sunday at 11:00 a.m.. the following Sunday , November 12th , at 1:00 p.m. we have a 1-2 p l o 8. We are still having a regular 8-16 OE games Monday Tuesday and Wednesday however.

Any chance of HORSE tomorrow (Tuesday 7th)

Well coincidentally t w o Mohegan dealers asked me about a possible 10-20 O.E or horse game with a half kill on some Saturday at Foxwoods. I made no promises but told them I would make inquiries. Then that disrupts the current Saturday game. I think the goal would be to spread a larger game with its own player pool on separate days. Plus with a base game of $8-16 you would still be subjected to the absurdly high rake and the kill will slow it way down with dealers always counting every pot.
