I was down there last Tuesday for an over night stay. Idk what the deal is on the weekends, but on the weekdays u can't get over to rainmaker. It's blocked off.

I looked at Mohegan and Foxwoods yesterday, nothing has changed.
Mohegan put up plexi around the sign in desk and the pit desk months ago and nothing has been done since. They still have the pari-mutuel betting stations set up for the horse races.
Foxwoods has what looks like a BJ table with plexi around it in their poker room, looks like a test table they were working on, but nothing has been done to any poker table I can see.
Mohegan is using the room for the big horse races, and I think the Breeders cup is first weekend of November. So I am personally hoping to see some work started on the poker tables after that.
But that is probably just wishfully thinking on my part.
It is a no win situation for Mohegan. As long as nobody opens, they aren't at a competitive disadvantage. If they open first and it fails, it costs them money. If they open first and it is successful, Foxwoods and Encore will reopen quickly and take their business.
The GTO solution is to stay closed and only react if someone else opens.
Seems odd to open now when almost all statistics are 5x or more higher than July/August. You'd think they could have opened then, but now at the peak it's cool?
Almost nobody will have the vaccine by then, and those who do will only have 1st dose.
