Does anyone know how many choice credits you get per month with Ignite? And what exactly can you spend those on?

50 per month.

Access to the lounge during off peak times, generally from Sunday 8 p.m. to Friday 2 p.m or the Buffet. The lounge costs 10 Choice Credits and the Buffet is 15 to 25 depending upon what meal time you go.

There is irony in Nelly essentially calling the white, middle-aged pit boss racist for siding with the white customer when the only people who went to see his show at Mohegan were white, middle-aged customers who were given comp tickets.

Does anyone know if there are any bonus point/status point days left before the next cycle begins? Also, where can you find this information besides bravo?

There has been a double status/points day each month during this 6-month window so I'd expect it to be posted soon for March.

So is there a trick(besides promo point accelerator days) to hitting your personal achievement # (mine is 18) without that # being raised in the next cycle?

I don't know if this is considered a trick but a general rule is to not play table games/slots (and if you don't swipe your card) and to leave (or pull your card) once you hit 18. The latter is due to your daily average generating the achievement number and the former is due to table game ratings affecting the algorithm. The downside to maintaining a low rating is that along with that comes fewer and less attractive offers. It all depends on what your objective is.

Dear cal617,

Mohegan Sun considers all of our team members and guests members of the Mohegan family. As such, the health and safety of our valued team members and guests is a top priority here. Similar to many other organizations nationwide and in light of the recent announcements related to gatherings and events, we are currently following the guidelines for businesses issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and daily guidance of the onsite Mohegan Tribal Health Department related to Coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention. Subject matter experts on the staff of the Mohegan Tribal Health Department are prepared with a plan of action for such a situation and have a Medical Director under contract to better ensure the safety of our visitors.

Out of an abundance of caution Mohegan Sun Arena and Expo events have been postponed through March 23rd.

We continue to operate our casino resort, but with some important changes to further protect our employees and guests. We are taking the following additional precautionary steps to protect our employees and guests:
  • The Mohegan Tribal Health Department is working closely with the CT Department of Public Health (DPH) and the CDC to monitor and provide updates on the evolving COVID-19 situation.
  • Mohegan Sun has elevated its daily cleaning processes throughout the property (casino, hotel and all back of house areas). Our efforts include:
    • Increasing the number of hand sanitizers stations available on property.
    • Increasing the frequency of our cleaning and disinfection efforts on property to include sanitizing all surfaces and touch points using medical grade, hospital strength products regularly throughout the day.
  • Team members are regularly reminded to follow the CDC’s guidelines on personal hygiene and avoiding contact with people who are sick.
  • Any team member who feels unwell or has a fever is asked to stay home and contact a health care provider.
  • Team members are being trained to identify symptoms in others and communicate appropriately.
  • CDC best practices are posted across the property for both team members and guests.

We are always committed to operating a safe, clean and welcoming environment, and we will continue to follow the guidance of the public health authorities and adjust our approach as needed. Please visit www.mohegansun.com/updates for the latest information. As always, we will strive to create a safe and enjoyable experience for you.

Perhaps as important as the precautions listed here, as a valued family member, we encourage you to continue to exercise good judgement in your daily lives for your own personal safety. Above all, it is important to remain calm for your own well-being and the well-being of our communities. We have persevered through difficult times in the past and we will persevere through this time as well.

We will continue to evaluate events at Mohegan Sun going forward.

Are they still allowing that big loud 1/2 morning reg to openly fake cough all over the table and the players? On my last day there earlier in the week I was walking to the cage and he had a box of tissues he was handing out mocking everyone while coughing all over people. Some actually thought it was funny while others looked concerned but didn't speak up.

Wtf is wrong with people. Even if you don't believe this is a serious situation. Why make light of it?

Rudy Gobert for example.

I can't believe Mohegan Sun is not only staying open but going to 9 handed games to help combat the coronavirus. Perhaps they should charge an extra dollar in rake also (To make us all feel safe) Unreal!!

They should go five handed.
Meaning they’ll get more games and will need their staff even with just 50 players that’s 10 tables (their normal number of games during the week????)

Drop the rake to $2. And you’ll still have business and show that you care.
Every table with tissues and a bottle of sanitizer.

Ship it!

Mohegan shut down room this afternoon. Rumor is they announced 4 weeks but of course they don't really know. There were 6 games running when action halted......freakin degens.

This is usually a prelude to a full closing. I'd guess we hear something in the next 24 hours. It saves them money to shut down and they won't take the PR hit of remaining open against the recommendations.

Mohegan Sun to Plan Temporary Closure to the Public

The Connecticut Governor’s office and The Mohegan Tribal Council are in discussions on the closure of Mohegan Sun to the public. During the period of closure to the public, Mohegan Sun will take the opportunity to focus on cleaning and deferred maintenance. In the interim, Mohegan Sun has decided to take additional actions property-wide which include the temporary closure of the Race Book, Wolf Den, Poker Room, Earth Hotel Tower, Seasons Buffet and novelle as well as the slot machines and vast majority of table games in the Earth section of the casino. All guest, charter and line bus transportation is also cancelled in the interim.

In the Sky section, where gaming and other amenities will continue until the temporary public closure, every other slot machine will be temporarily deactivated as an additional social distancing measure. The spacing and spreading out of seating for this purpose will be in effect as well for the remaining table games in this section of the casino.

“Working closely with and taking guidance from Mohegan Tribal Health officials and State and Federal health authorities, while continuing to increase the overall safety of our guests and team members, Mohegan Sun today announces significant changes to our operations,” said Jeff Hamilton, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun. “These are difficult times the state and nation are facing, and as such, they bring about difficult decisions for Mohegan Sun and Mohegan Tribal leadership.”

In the past week, the resort has made preventative enhancements on already stringent standards, including rigorous cleaning procedures across property. Mohegan Sun has also announced continuous large event cancellations and postponements.

Temporary closures that are set to be taken immediately include:

• Race Book

• Wolf Den

• Earth Tower hotel

• All slot machines in the Earth section of the casino

• Poker Room

• The majority of table games in the Earth section

• Summer Valet

• Autumn and Summer Essentials convenience stores

• Seasons Buffet & Earth Food Court

• novelle

• Kids Quest / Cyber Quest

• Bow & Arrow Sports Bar and all floor bars in Casino of the Earth

• Winter Player’s Club Booth

• Bobby’s Burger Palace

Valet parking for Casino of the Sky will remain open in the interim, as will gaming in this section, which now operates with enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocol. Mohegan Sun is actively monitoring developments, evaluating and adapting as needed. Daily communication between Mohegan Tribal officials and the State of Connecticut Governor’s Office will continue as these unprecedented circumstances are being taken very seriously.

Mohegan Sun announced they would close for 2 weeks beginning on 3/17.

1. The hotel appears to be closed through April 12th as all bookings online are grayed out through that date.

1b. It is obviously very likely, if not certain, that these dates are pushed back many weeks.

2. With the status period ending on March 31st, what do you expect to occur with those people who were close to reaching their next tier level but could not due to the shutdown?

If the place is packed when it re-opens, I expect they'll say, "too bad, so sad" about your status. If it is empty, I expect them to say, "As a welcome back, we're upgrading you to the next tier for this quarter."
