Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT) - Page 351 - Venues & Communities -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Played in the Wind this weekend, thought it was okay, my main issue is people smoking less than 10 feet from a poker table, and all the slot machine lights and noises were annoying too.

Lighting was sufficient, 1/2 games were nitfests with the occasional decent player sprinkled in, mostly on their way to 2/5. The cage situation was fine -- probably helped by the racks having plenty of chips for rebuys.

I wouldn't say to not go on the basis of the temporary room, but it's definitely not as nice as the room was (hopefully the new room will be nice again).

I thought it was pretty cool. Halfway through Sunday afternoon, they shut off the lights on the waterfall. The shifting darkness of the unlit waterfall had a weird, eerie effect.

Most likely they had a contractor set up to start working in the old room and the new room wasn't going to be ready in time. Rather than pay the contractor to wait around doing nothing (and getting paid), they just moved the tables out.

that's just about the worst thing ever for poker. so when a "gambolllllll" fish loses a stack at poker, instead of reloading to try again, he can just switch to a different game without having to go anywhere?

I can't believe they didn't update the map online, or provide a link to show where the new room is? It just says in the casino of the earth-Hall of lost tribes.
Has anyone been to the new room yet? I hope its nice and they have a non alcoholic drink station like MGM.

One of the first things I noticed were the tables were arranged so that your chair is not bumped every two minutes. there are plenty of tvs so you can see the current high hand. they need to be lowered some, which I heard is planned. easy access to the cages and rest rooms. In the room is A johnny Rockets and the Gino"s girl comes through still. The food choices are not important to me. They included the video gaming of blackjack, roulette and baccarat for degan gamblers and a bar with built in video games. I did not ask but suspect that drinks are free if you are gambling. Some distractions but in general, I like the room.
