They are using the same tables that are in the room now. So those must have been temporary tables in order to map out the room, electric outlets, cameras, and such...

I also noticed chalk outlines of table layouts on the floor, which were perpendicular to how the physical tables were laid out. Could be that they're still not settled on a layout, or number of tables.

Also, is the only way to post pics via Imgur?

It looks like more moved to MGM where there is a 5+2 take compared to Foxwoods 5+1 however there are a decent number who did go to Mohegan, one of the small handful of rooms in the country still taking 4+1. I've seen a couple 2/5 regs and a bunch of familiar 1/2 faces from Foxwoods now at Mohegan so while it did happen to a degree it wasn't like the entire room moved across the river.

Foxwoods takes $2 at the flop which I’m guessing makes a big difference though I’m not sure how MGM’s rake is structured. I would guess its not 2 at the flop there.

But I just don’t think most players let the rake affect where they choose to play.
Some yes. I do. But not enough people to make a difference it seems to me.

Mohegan should at lease promote the fact that their rake is the lowest. Kind of a waste if no one is noticing or caring unfortunately.

I know that the way I WOULD try would be their 9/6 JoB video poker. But their 9/6 video poker does not offer points

I haven’t been to Mohegan in about a year. Planning on going this week. Has the poker room changed locations or is still located at the corner of casino of the wind?

Yes, it's still in the same spot. It should be good action with the hangover tourney & New Years incoming.

Welcome to Mohegan Sun Poker room. It's weird here. You can try to find it in the deserted wing of a smokey casino behind a waterfall. It's right next to a Jimmy Buffets, your lonely uncles favorite place to harass waitresses.

The seats are sumptuous, 95% of the dealers are great.

There is a middle aged gentleman wearing a blazer, pocket square, and nice-ish watch playing 1/2. He looks like he owns a boat. His glances are snobbish and derisive, a caricature of an evil white dude in an Eddy Murphy movie, his iso's against donkeys are light.

Come, sit next to a nit with his phone vise gripped to the table. He's a 1/2 professional and he's got the inside info on all the loop holes MS has to offer. He can't tell you about them, but his worn sandals and neck beard say it all. He.is. crushing it.

There's also a cowboy. Everyone loves a cowboy.

There is an angry old man. He is so angry. He is angry when he gets sucked out on. Angry when he has to fold. Angry when he doesn't get paid off. So angry.

Is that your lonely uncle? Yes! With all his uncle friends, ranging from not-so to very very creepy. They are just waiting to cooler each other and grumble about the kind of cards they get from a particular dealer. Everyone female is "Hun" or "Honey". They mix well with the kind grandpas.

Oh the sweet, kind grandpas, gently handing you whites and reds time after time like so many dusty and deformed Werther's Originals. God bless the grandpas.

Just watch out for that one dealer. He hates you. You don't know why, but he hates everyone at the table. But mostly you. Why? By the way he looks at the screens during games, probably some combination of sports book debt and the fact you resemble someone who owes him money from long ago. Who knows? But the dealer wants you to die.

The room is moving soon. Or some time after soon. Or maybe some time after some time after soon. The real question is, will it survive the move? Will the boat guys be able to sail right up to the poker room if it's not waterfall adjacent? Will the new tables support an extension arm vise grip so professional 1/2 players don't have to interact socially? Will the uncles simply binge on the $0.50 wings at Arrowhead Bar, unable to return to the table? Will the grandpas find the new room? WHAT ABOUT THE GRANDPAS???

Only time will tell.

Will be down on Thursday/Friday next week for the Mortgage Expo. Will try to get into the HORSE game on Thursday; didn't get down last month as planned. Do they get two games going? If so, about what time does the 2nd game go off? Is it a must move?
