It was a joke with bad taste, but now that the investigation is closed, it is no longer “too soon” for bad taste jokes.
Cheer up peeps, it’s just a dumb ass joke.

And your ass is here what dates? Hopefully not Oct 1st Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT)

I wonder how they will do it.
Close the room overnight and move everything?
Move half the room at a time and switch rooms while bringing the other half in?
Wouldn’t think they’d get new tables.
Wonder how much they’ll remodel. Ive never seen that area. Hope they’re not just sort of bringing in the poker stuff and plugging it into some ratty old room!
Kind of looking forward to a fresh new room. I think the current one is pretty nice (aside from its location). I hope its at least as well designed

No, the ratty old room is where the original poker room was located.

Its going back there!?!
I barley remember that room. Thought it was smaller. So no remodeling huh?

That's too bad. I think the room is beautiful right now and the location is pretty excellent. Yeah it's out of the way but it's also in a high energy, young area, with lots of drinking and fun on the weekend. Seems pretty ideal to me.

Where about was the old room?

I feel most will disagree that it is currently in an excellent location. With the exception of Friday night and Saturdays the casino where the room currently resides has been closed to all table games for over a year. The new room will be in the heart of the most heavily populated gaming area of the casino in a very nice spot aesthetically speaking.

I'm sure they will stagger the move as to not have to close poker down at all or for one day at most. Once the room is properly wired electrically it should take much longer to complete the project. The old poker room mgr told me years ago when this project was in the works that it was at a $1.1m cost. Considering Mohegan doesn't really do thing halfass I expect it to be pretty nice.

Oh I didn't know the casino of the wind was closed during the week! I've only been a half a dozen times in the last year and only on Friday and Saturday nights. Glad it's going to a better location.

It's going to the Hall of Lost Tribes... Which is a no smoking area in the Earth casino... It is not going to the former location of the first room.

Which I think will be an excellent area, close to the bus lobby and the race book. While the current room is nice, it's basically out in the middle of nowhere in the lowest traffic area of the property.

The new location should be a step up overall. I like the proximity to the bus lobby in particular.

They are taking over both Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino. What can poker players expect. Session fee or rake? Points or $ per hour of play. I play 40 per week. Unlimited buy ins on 1/3 or 2/5NL?
Never been to any of their poker rooms.

And so it begins. All machines are shut down in The Hall of The Lost Tribes. Johnny Rockets is still open thou. Hopefully the new poker room will be open by the end of the year!

Woo! After my last trip I'm so stoked. Garage access, 50c wings and $2 drafts nearby, traffic!

If it is run like the main room, buy in limits at 1/3 and 2/5, points and the pots raked.

Status Points and Momentum Dollars have not been added during this time either at least for myself. I was there 7 hours on Saturday and 4 hours yesterday that were not credited at all.

I was there this week and was surprised with the amount of stores that were gone - the record store, make-up store, brook stone is closing this weekend. Plus I went into the “country store” the guy told me that the casino took it over after the company that originally owned it struggled for 2 years and people noticed. The casino really liked the old store and are reaching out to all the vendors they had to make it like it was.

Droppings that I've heard from executives are that Margaritaville's lease is up this year they will be gone, the poker room will be moved which of course we know and that entire casino has already been leased to another company. RIP Mist!!!
