Went down for my first time Thursday night. Had a lot of fun playing 1/2, and didn't lose my shirt, which was nice. It was a lot friendlier than I thought it would be.

Heard today from a dealer (and confirmed by the front desk) that PokerStars has signed some sort of partnership with MS. Apparently there will be a big tournament/series in March and there will soon be Stars logos on the felt. Anyone have more info on this?

not surprised by this. could possibly develop future tournaments and satellites that will feature seats to WSOP events.

originally, before the new room opened up I heard Mohegan was going to involve themselves in someway with Harrahs to run satellites for the WSOP

That's awesome. Mohegan has great tournaments. Affiliation with stars will only make it better.

Mohegan has posted an announcment that they have signed on with Pokerstars.net and will run a two week live tourney there in the April 2010 time frame. They have also brought on a new Poker Host to take care of Poker players. The WSOP connection was just rights to do Sats and not a circuit event which is what they wanted to do so they passed. Nice moves good work Rick and Bruce.

The 2/5 from about midnight last night until 5:00 AM this morning was the most ridiculous game I've ever played in. Flipping for $400 every hand for half an hour with those three Albanian kids that Big John ended up throwing out. It was the best and worst experience ever. . .super profitable. Each of them probably dropped 6-7 buy-ins at that table.

I played from about midnight last night until 2:00 this afternoon but there wasn't a 5/10 that I was aware of. It was running last night until about 3:00 AM, but it got to the point where it was just heads-up for an hour/hour and a half. Maybe it started back up after 2:00, I did see a list of interest when I took off, but I'd been awake for 30 hours at that point and didn't want to do anything dumb and throw my money away.

During a normal weekday rare, weekends spotty unless they get going and do well, once sold out though the sun takes a while to get the players together, should do what Foxwoods does, five minutes from the sellout it starts. Mohegan offers little or no points for sng and tourny, Foxwoods does not sure how much now. Sng are still a ms weakness they need to fix.

Hey guys,

I am thinking of coming up on Wednesday morning and playing all day/night (2/5nl, maybe 5/10 if it is running). Do they give out poker room rates? Considering I have never played there before, will I have any chance of getting one?

Sorry if this is a repeat Q...I scanned the first few pages of the thread and couldnt find anything.

I'm thinking of heading down Tuesday. Is it usually busy during the week? I was hoping that the holidays would help pick things up.

The later it gets the best your chances, they can probably get you a room for about $100, especially if you're playing 5/10.
You only get about 3 points an hour on your card playing 2/5 or 5/10, so I wouldn't rely on that. Go play blackjack or something for an hour and bet like 50 a hand and you'll be taken care of.

If I'm not mistaken, mohegan had WSOP satellites when they had the old poker room. So it would make sense to do it again.

New Poster here...old MS player (1-2, 2-5nl)

Lot of Tourny action today...130 players in the $50NL buy-in 10am

$1660 first place...nothing for 98 where I finished! Good 1-2 cash action after busting.

A fellow CT 2+2er mentioned to me that with the new partnership between MS and Pokerstars, MS was going to start offering the same games you normally see online. That would include games like Badugi. Does anyone have any more info on this?
