I never said the house makes more or even the same amount from poker as BJ. My point is simple - what you wrote
Quote:
very wrong, 200 in rake takes 1000 times longer then 200 on a BJ table
is a vast overstatement.

but its not really an overstatement. there is no way for the house to make more than $4 a hand at poker, plain and simple.

the house can make an infinite amount of money in one hand at black jack (if they would take the action)

if the most the house could make per hand was 0-4$ at blackjack the comps would not be nearly as high.

your flat betting world with perfect play is non existent so your point is moot

Let's assume that the casino assumes that: An average of $3/hand gets raked, 30 hands/hr, full table. All things being equal, each player pays $10/hr in rake. Each player receives 2 pts/hr in comps (based on $1/2nl). That's 20% back, which is about right (casinos will comp back 20-30% of theoretical, usually).

At blackjack, let's assume the casino assumes that: 70 hands/hr, 0.75% house edge. A $25 bettor is expected to lose around $13/hr. That should earn him 2.5-3.5 pts/hr.

A $25 blackjack bettor is fairly equivalent to a $2/5nl player, as far as casino EV and immediate comps. But, the BJ player will receive better offers, because of the *potential* for him to be betting a lot more... something the poker player cannot do (moving up in stakes barely counts).

Well, your argument fails on multiple levels:
  • most if not all BJ tables have max limits;
  • you have to bet something on the order of $1000 to expect to lose $4 per hand;
  • $25 betters almost certainly get back than $2 or $3 per hour in comps;
  • most 5th graders can master basic BJ strategy.
If you are were attempting to end your own derailment, I apologize. But, otherwise, go back to arithmetic 101.

dude are you simple, you claim these 5th graders can master it, yet no one does it. quit arguing for the sake of arguing. youre wrong. plain and simple. i have a degree in math, it may be you who needs to go back. if you were smart you would realize that the time it takes a person to play a hand of black jack (say less than one minute at a full table) it takes 20 times as long for a poker player to pay some sort of money to the house on average (figure one person every 10 hands, 2 mins a hand). yes arithmetic, it really is easy. oh and surprise, its not a flat drop, it varies so theres almost no real way to figure out the average contributed =0

you really must be a troll because
Quote:
you have to bet something on the order of $1000 to expect to lose $4 per hand
is so absurd, because i never said anything about a player needing to lose 4$ per hand. maybe it is reading comprehension 101 you should study

and

uhhhh

if they would take the action implies there are max limits...

I know it's still early, but will there be any special room rates? If so, when will they become available?

You're more than welcome to start a 3-6 HORSE add crazy pineapple to the game and I'll get players in there (dealers from
Next door at Foxwoods... All dealers heart mixed games!)

Try doing that on Friday later afternoon and I'll call some people up to
Show up. Play the game with white and red chips and you'll see a ton more action!

Let me know if you do so cause I'll take the drive over there!

ok I'm dying to know & haven't figured it out on my own: where is the best place to park to be close to the poker room?! I always wind up circling around to the back hotel entrance, valet parking, and then walking a mile. There's gotta be a better way.

The riverview garage is where I usually park for the poker room. If you want valet, the sky valet is just a little closer.

Sky Valet as John just mentioned is closest. If you want to self park, park in Riverview Garage. When you pull in, go all the way to the right. (There are two sets of stairs/elevators)
