Yeah, I am among those if only because there was a period when my rool was not large enough to withstand 2/5 swings, and the issues of life were also a factor is my desire to have lower variance.

Rest assured, I will be back at 2/5 very, very soon--if anything, I hear it is not any more difficult at all (quite the contrary with fewer regs and more casual "passer-bys")

Last Saturday there were 4 tables going (3 main games) and I recognized probably 4-5 people out of the 35-40 playing. Plenty of tourists playing and buying in for 400-500. Saw a bunch bringing up their doubled up 1/2 stacks and jumping in the games, too. Hoping the same for tomorrow and Sat.

I kinda posted about this last night but it got deleted. I was at the table where it happened. Two guys were talking **** back and forth to each other and they start to compare who makes more an hour at their day job. They then threatened eachother and the floor asked the one guy to stand up from the table when he refused. They had to call over security and pause the clock to get the guy to stand up. After about 10 minutes they gave both guys a 24 hour ban and removed them from the tourney and at that point the guy who wouldnt stand up from the table lost it ran back to the table and threw his chipstack all over the table and the floor screaming **** this poker room. Pretty sure by doing that he turned his 24 hour ban into a lifetime ban.

This happened about 3 weeks ago.

ROFL @ spinning my PORK into something clever, wp . I think Chief's may have it on their hot menu, but I am not 100% sure.

And the only reason we have been getting modded so heavily is because someone desires to have it be this way, no idea who, though.

General thoughts on how cash games will be compared to normal, due to the tournaments? I'm toying with making a trip down the road during my weekend FW stay.

I'm predicting fairly dead until mid-afternoon(ish) until more people bust out from tournies. But I'm expecting more action than normal, for sure.

Juicy as hell, I plan on playing 2/5 now that my roll has come in, and if I bust early, expect me at the tables.

I plan on arriving at about 5 am this morning to get a nice helping of degenerate action.

BEEF: What is with the fast structure of event #1? Granted, I love the likelihood of 300+ runners, but it is just as fast as the guarantees.

Im surprised to hear all these stories of people causing problems, I always have lots of cool people at my tables and its good times . Only one time was a jerk at my table so far. Even in the tournament I played, it was really friendly even when people got knocked out they took it great.

I plan on playing the Friday morning $250 and some 1/2. Hopefully the field is weak, last tournament I played like... id say at least 60% of the field had no push/fold game and no pot odds awareness at all.

About the structure, I actually think it benefits anyone with MTT experience online to have a relatively fast structure - I don't think older live regs have much experience with this. Obv it does increase variance tho.

It's triple-down Thursday!! Anyone else going to play in the pits?

I will be there around 6pm...then I will either be playing 1/2 or 2/5, depending on the BJ gods! Khakis and red collared shirt.

Anyone there now? Game update? Any signs of the weekend tourney crowd yet?

The last few times I have been there I have witnessed incidents of players yelling and arguing. I hope The Sun doesn't turn into The Taj of CT. I like the room, but can do without the drama.

I hate it being 10k/30 min and 15k/40 is much better.

But Therese's about 5 or 6 added levels throughout not in the daily structures

To be fair the situation was handled pretty well by the floor. Without mentioning names i think he always does a pretty good job in the tourney area.

Hmmm, I did not know that there are additional levels, this makes me quite happy.

In fact, to keep in spirit of the thread, I will do my own research and post it for all to see:

I've been playing in this room since it re-opened, & full-time since 12/08 when I was laid off....
I've got to say that maybe twice did I see anything that was near getting outta hand, usually it was over a bad call, & the floor took care of it quickly, I heard of one guy that hit another, & he was banned for life...
CHIT happens, but never to the point I'd think anyone would be worried about...

How many people would you expect for the PLO event? and a couple of the other events look tempting but I'm having trouble choosing and that could be crucial since they are pretty bunched together. Will be there tommorow with my bright red hat on chasing TheCat to piagow tiles tables he is unbeatable...

Ya, admittedly I haven't ever been worried or seen a reason for another player to be worried, but it used to be such a calm relaxing room. Or maybe I just have selective memory.

As long as you buy your seat on PTSeats.com, you will still have your seat (no matter how late you arrive), but you will get blinded off til you get there.
