Yeah it was a great game (I did major suck out on one hand, oops). I only left because some of the guys just donating left and made the game a little tighter. It probably became loose again after some people jumped into it. They actually ended up making this a main game which was cool.

A week or two ago they had a must move and 2 or three main games, i like this set up much better because it spreads out the nitty players. Last thurs the main game was so nitty with regs that i decided to play tourney instead after making some money at must move and having to go to main game. with multiple main games it wont end up with the main game full of nits and the must moves the best games.

F'nCAT - I can't go back there for a while because I was so broken hearted after last Saturday night. I was on 2-4LHE (yes, I know, please it's what I play, deal with it) and was dealt, flopped, and lost sets of Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Eights. I also got for the first time ever two straight flushes and manged to lose one. And the one I lost wasn't 4 to the flush, it was 3 to the flush on the board. I lost with 45c on a 678c board to 910c of course. There was nothing I could do to win. I didn't lose a lot of money, but it definitely was the worst card beating I ever took.

yeah, I saw that. next week they're having like 9 events.

I was really looking for more about the players, ect that play in the tournament, not when it was but I probably should have been more specific.

anyways, I played in todays {obviously} I can't believe how bad the majority of the players were. It was a lot softer than I figured it would be. I don't play a ton of live tournaments. I've been spending more time playing cash games online. Most of the players would get slaughtered in a .05/.10 cash game, but most were decent and I like the poker room there {I played in the cash games there a couple times} our first dealer of the night was a young woman who it was only her second day ever dealing poker, but she only made one mistake with a raise amount but it was fixed right away.
unfortunately, I didn't cash out this evening, but you can't win em all. when fish play bingo they'll sometimes hit a jackpot.

I think they're doing these tourneys through august (top place was about 7k) so I'd recommend it if you like tourneys but haven't played in one at the Sun.

Just got back from 23 hours of 1-2 NL over the past two days... never played there before, but I like the room a lot. Didn't have a single dealer that wasn't incredibly friendly, comfortable chairs, well-lit, good atmosphere. One dealer Amanda was rather cute, was disappointed she only did one rotation at my table.

Of course, I dumped $430 into the poker economy during my play. Pretty disgusted as to how things turned out. Never could get anything going (aside from a small rush today where I temporarily worked my way back to even), didn't hit a single draw in a multi-way pot, and made a couple terrible folds. Also had aces cracked twice, and a host of other unfortunate spots (Top two <rivered straight, top two <set, set < turned flush AI on flop.) Stewed the whole way home. Probably will alternate between FW and MS with the Woods being about 20 minutes closer, but I'm glad I checked it out.

lol. I know who you're talking about. He seems pretty cool but talks too much strat at the table. Funny kid though and one of the better players I have seen at MS.

I was there yesterday, & last nite was LOUD, & CROWDED, cash games kept full thru the Dead Money falling out of the tourny.
Yesterday my dead hand run ended after 9 days of summer.

The one in the old hat, just a tad overweight he's in most of the CT tourneys, not bad at the game either

I in fact was stacked by F'N cat with my QQ vs. KK preflop. Nice run cat. All I did was lose money at that table. Made a transfer, went much better. GG yesterday.

I've never seen someone so rude and quick to start fights at the table. I've been at his table at least five times and he's ALWAYS berating dealers and players. He must have a Napoleon complex or something. And he's not very good.

Oh, one postscript: Some big, grumpy Asian guy, for what amounted to only a $40 pot, got so mad that his pair of Aces was cracked by a rivered two pair that he threw his Ace across the table at the other guy, berated him, and stormed off, even though he was well up for his session. Perhaps one of the most amusing things I've seen live.

I know the person you are talking about (the Turtle Doppelgänger) and have been at his table multiple times. He has ended up arguing with at least one player each time I have sat with him.

For $1/$2, he is probably considered a good player but has a pretty short fuse and is rude to the dealers when things aren't going his way.

For sure the same guy I'm talking about. Forgot that he started a fight with the dealer for a dumb reason. He played quite well though when I met him, esp by the standard in that room.

So very true. I normally play 5/10 kill game at FW, but have found playing at the Sun more enjoyable. Not so much the money for me, so I guess I can deal with 3/6 for a while.

Hey jet, i think i may know you. Are you the guy who battles it out with me at the woods 5/10 kill and the 3/6 at MS? Here's a hint: you went running broadway at the woods with KK when i made a play at you with Q7 and flopped 2 pair. lol I'm the one you call "hyper aggressive"

Anyone playing the first event at the Summer Showdown on Wednesday? I've been looking forward to it for a month now. Will be my first live tourney. Anyone have a good guess of how many entrants?
