You know I will find you, rest assured! I will likely be playing until the hour of the degens, and if a lot of us are, we may be "forced" into playing with each other .

Am I the most "semi-reg" 2+2'er that frequents the actual casino the least? I haven't been to MS in over a month, yet I check this thread religiously and feel I know most of you (even though I only know like 2 of you). Houston, we have a problem...

I check this thread constantly just like the Foxwoods thread, even though I've only been to MS maybe 4-5 times over the years but FW a few times every month.

I went last night and was heading down tonight, but got roped into a thing at my son's school, and family comes first.

Last night was fun though. Fun table. Had trouble getting traction, finally doubled up to get back to even, then doubled up to get ahead. I was flopping sets like a fool.
Just a question from a newer player: The villains always seems surprised when I show my winning hands. They always say that they put me on something different or had no idea what I had. Like I said, I limped in some pots with pocket pairs, checked a few from the big blind, and always seemed to hit trips. I'm just wondering if I'm doing something right in that they don't know what I've got or doing something wrong by playing like a fish? I've been pretty good about only playing premium hands, and have found my inner "fold button".

Also, every time I go, people still bring up our Bat Beat Jackpot queen. You're a legend! And the story gets more and more imaginative every time I hear it.

Wish I could make it out tonight. New to the forum and it would be pretty cool to actually meet some of you guys.

fcmonk, what positions are you limping your PP from? There are so many different ways to play them that it's difficult to say whether your lines are fishy or standard. If your table has tons of players who limp into pots and lose interest on dry boards, it might be correct to limp behind IP with something like 99 with the intent of betting strong on a dry Axx/Kxx/Qxx/low card flop, though I'm almost always raising pre when I decide to come into a pot. It gives you the initiative on future streets and will give you more fold equity if two opponents check to you on a A72 flop and you hold something like 33.. there's rarely a situation where I'm not given credit for an A. On wetter boards that tricky opponents are likely to have hit (and you know they are capable of check-raising flops) you can often buy yourself a four-card flop with that extra $4 invested preflop.

I was limping either from the big blind (twice) and MP (once). It was probably very villain dependent; one was a player who just put his head down and bet until the showdown with any two pair, there was an A on the board, so I let him hang himself. The other guy was a solid player, but he kept admitting that he was chasing a lot of draws, and when I flopped the set I put a little pressure on him to see if he'd chase again. He did, and he didn't get there. Probably not super-sound strategy, but most of the way I'm feeling things out as I learn. Like I said before, I found my "fold button", and stopped limping after everything like most of those 1/2 tables do. Played tight, and tried to get it in when I had the opportunity. You learn a lot by paying attention.

The highlight of the table was the guy who folded a straight to his buddy who went all in with air. He tanked forever. No one at the table could believe he'd lay that down. He was drunk.

Fishy or well played, either way it's good that your opponents didn't know how strong your hand was.

At least I had that going for me! People really like giving out information on how they play. No matter what I think about how I played a hand, what I should have done, etc, I keep it to myself.

I'm hoping to be back down there in a few weeks. I have a buddy who wants to go in a few weeks. Hope to see y'all down there.

Well, I had every intent of going to Mohegan tonight but as I was approaching exit 92(Foxwoods exit) I decided to give the Woods a go tonight.

Hope that everyone had fun.

I did not see a single 2+2er there tonight...but it was a good night still, nonetheless! I found a table with some ok-to-goodish regs, including the best female player I have come across in the room, who always gives me a few tricky hands. (tonight being no exception!)

Finished up 300 despite no huge payouts...I stacked a shortstack with a set of 5s, but nothing major. Good folds tonight highlighted the evening...and KK getting cracked twice .

Just got back myself. Jersey's, I was looking for you but didn't see you. I played with GTO for a bit and saw Beata but didn't get to say hi before I had to meet people for dinner at MJs.

First session (6-8pm) I bought in short with $100 and nitted it up for 3 orbits until I got AA UTG. I raise to $12 and the whole table calls me. Flop comes KJx and I C-bet for $60 and only the CO calls me. Obviously he has KJ and I'm beat, but I only have $25 behind so I shove on the turn - a J. CO slow-rolls the KJ for a FH and I'm busted in one hand and get up.

Second session (11pm-2:30am) I nit it up and get that $100 back and a little bit more on a super nitty table. By then everyone was gone though.

I was at a table close to the entrance. I would have likely gone "seeking" others had I not been at the same table as the good regs (and my female nemesis :P), but I will admit to not seeing you, GTO, or Beata.

I will likely return tomorrow for some more, likely the night.

iwsj i saw you sitting at that table but anytime i walked over you were in a hand so maybe tomorrow night.
I just rocked a white/black nike tee with a star and the #72 on it...nothing crazy.

Sun game was exausting but I figured 'im not gonna do anything else' and decided to stay and play. Made 200 on the night...i played 3 handed awhile with two guys at a 1/2 table (which is kind of rare) but it was fun

My tables kind of sucked, only interesting thing that happened was at like 3AM. Two people limp 6 handed and im in SB with AQo. I bump it to twelve and both guys call.

Flop KQ7ss and I check...first guy checks, second guy (a younger NYC dweller) bets something like 15. Standard call here.

Turn is a 5 which doesnt change the hand much...he bets 35 and I'm really not sure if I believe him, he's betting pretty small considering the FD out there and I am thinking there is no way that he bets a FD twice. I call again

River is the 4s or something similar, i check and he bets 50. No way he bets any Kx here considering my line looks like a spade draw and I seriously doubt he bets two streets with a FD, he checks behind the turn a high % of the time. He is either b/f a set or has air. I call and take down the medium-sized pot as he dosen't turn his hand over.

Reason this is so interesting/funny to me is that right after that we have a table change. We sit next to each other and hes like 'I cant believe you called that', I said 'I dont know I don't think it was too crazy' and then he says 'do you leave the casino profitable most of the time?'. I started LOLing my face off and had to take a 5min break because of the backhanded question.

I'll probably go tomorrow, maybe around dinnertime.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but I put it about 100 hours at Mohegan in May, sooo I don't think so.

MrMossy - Call me a donk but I think I am snapppppp calling that river bet, all day.

Anyways I got nitrolled again.

I raise preflop with KsQs and get 2 callers. Flop is Q44 rainbow (one spade). Checks to me, I bet $25. Turn is a Ts. He leads out for 30$. I am never ever folding here, especially since I started the hand with only about 70bbs. Anyways, I go all in for $62 more. He tanks, where I then start to feel really good about my hand, thinking he's calling with QJ, QT, maybe even worse. He struggles putting the rest in, and I insta flip over my hand and a K peels off and he shows me 4d5d. I mean, why would you call a raise pre with 4d5d, flop trips, and then tank? Like, what better flop could you ****ing ask for?
