The throwing $25 back is a little disrespectful. I might say a little something on that one personally, but I wouldn’t make a big deal of it if he was playing that wild

He wasn’t doing it to be disrespectful. He was doing it to be nice and keep the mood light.

This detail is important since many in this thread are claiming Mohegan regs are worse than Foxwoods. IMO there are miserable regs at both and best bet is to ignore them. Most are losing players just grinding for a “free” sandwich and the dehumidifier giveaway.

Yea I understand, but it’s an etiquette thing. Someone throwing crumbs at you after the stacked you is very rude

It's pretty standard at home games. His description sounds like a home game circuit player who doesn't casino often.

I'd love to have $25 thrown back at me everytime I lose a buy-in. Seriously, who's complaining about that? This would be a valid argument for high stakes.

I haven’t seen it in a casino, and don’t play home games so wouldn’t know. The one time I seen someone stack someone else and try to throw them something like a $1 chip the person who lost got mad, and rightfully so imo. I’m pretty sure that was in a 1/2 game

Same difference? If I lose 50 buy-ins per year and receive $25 back each time, that's $1,250; if receive $1 that's $50. Why would you consider that "same difference"?

I addressed the distinction in my previous post. If I were playing 25K pots, yes, I'd be pissed at having a $25 ship thrown to me after getting felted. In a $1/$2 game I'll gladly take the $25.

I'll end here as it's a derail at this point.

I once busted out of a televised winner-take-all MTT to the eventual winner. She thought she was being kind when she slid me a $100 bill backstage after winning the $50k

They def exist at both places as there is an overlap in player pool.

Don't want to derail but quick comment regarding getting a $25 chip or other $$ thrown back at you. It's a human nature mind illusion thing.

$25 is better than $0 right? But in our minds we are focusing on the big pot that could have been won or the tourney prize and we see it as 'unfair'

Taking your money and tossing you back a tiny bit is how casino comp systems work. At least $25 is comping back a whole lunch for a stack. It'd have to be a big stack for the casino to do the same.

This made me laugh good sir because in my short tenure back at the tables post covid, I have heard constant convos about giveaways. I am not in the know lol.

But to all my Mohegan bros and even angry regs...if I am ever at the table when a bad beat hits and someone is away I am 100% for covering you no matter who you are!! Let the Lord bless us with a bad beat!

What are players perks? Are they just momentum dollars?

They’re momentum dollars basically but they expire…

So like today I have players perks but if I don’t use them by midnight Thursday night I lose them.

So basically use it or lose it

How have the 2/5 5/10 games been? Heading down to ct in about an hour. Debating to go to tried and true FW or change it up at MS

Games are hit or miss..

Looks like MS has 5-10 going and fw doesn’t right now.

The player pool overlaps at both places. So the answer is to play both.

Should ask in the Mohegan thread or have a mod move this there. You'll get more feedback.
