You either choose to compete or choose to fail. With the added competition in this market between Twin River, Springfield and even the NH rooms it is a head scratcher as to why Mohegan has purposely chosen to fail over these past several months. Does anyone there really even care? I'm certainly not complaining but the fact that they keep their rake and promo drop lower than anywhere I know north of Las Vegas when it isn't necessary coupled with their abysmal marketing of the room seriously makes me wonder if anyone really cares about the financial health of this poker room.
I agree.
I do prefer the rake stay low (as you know- haha) but they’re wasting time and money with these half hearted promos. $100 a half hour?!?
They should promote the fact that they run a 3 hour progressive high hand when they’re not running one of they’re advertised promos. Don’t know why they don’t do that. They don’t consider it a promo. I called a couple of weeks ago to ask if they were running a high hand on an off day and the woman said the promo was not running. I had to press her for her to be reminded of the 3hr hh.
If they are going to have a lower rake, I feel they should at least promote that fact. People don’t think about the rake, but maybe “lowest rake in the state” or something.
I don’t know if they don’t care but they certainly seem to have no realistic idea of what appeals to the players.
Your average regular could probably come up with better ideas.
They seem to be making some changes for November. Maybe they’re seeing there needs to be a change
