looking at this,
the groundwork's laid out for triple draw and or KC lowball,
but they'd have to have a definition for a low 2-7 hand on the books.
A-5 lowball is defined. meh. [and I'm from Cali.]

Should be interesting once its up and running. Its close to a couple colleges, anyone know if it will be 18 or 21 to play poker? Would make a difference in numbers of people playing during certain times.

21 min. age

Two four year colleges inside of 4 miles of casino.
Three more four year colleges inside of 15 miles.

The large majority of their senior class begin the fall term 21+.

Expect to see the kids.

I took a walk around the place today. A lot of people playing the slots, all they have yet. One of the bars looked like it would attrack a good sizes younger crowd at night. Two others looked like a nice place for a quiet drink. Some nice restaurants and several places looked like they would be fine for a quick snack.

Plenty of parking, they are expecting to do even better. Good security. Friendly staff.

Wow, just found this forum, I can't believe it's already 9 pages long, the table games don't even arrive for 3 weeks. Anyone else planning to be there on the 13th? Anyone know how you get invited to the test day?

I still have not tried the buffet at Pocono Downs but I have had severals reports on it.

All reports have been highly favorable. These reports have been made by patrons of several different AC buffets. I will post my own report in mid-July.

Pending PGCB approval the room will be open full time. That of course goes for all the Casinos in PA.

PS-Tilt's gonna keep me hoppin', wat with Ironman and mid-year bonus in July, so I'm anxious, but not foaming rabid yet.

Im not sure on any bus schedules in the area but I do know that we will offer stud. I think your best bet would be during the day time if you wanted to catch a stud game. Im guessing the evening is going to be mostly No Limit and Mixed games(H.O.S.E) etc...

i seen spike post something about a shuttle bus to mohegan elsewhere, thought maybe he might be familiar with buses in the philadelphia area and know what numbered bus goes by the different new poker rooms. and how late in the day it runs if he is online. i am aware ablanda might attempt to start a stud interest list, but i fear not enough will sign the list.

I think we talked about it earlier in the thread, but a bunch of the simulcast regulars are stud players. There will be stud games.

As for busses check the Martz schedule to Wilkes-Barre.

I also predict that Stud games will be spread regularly @MS@PD. I'm not so sure about the other PA cardrooms.

As long as there is an interest for the game it will be spread. I would be surprised if a 10/20 stud game didnt go on a regular basis.

No doubt simulcast= 7 stud.....and I'd have to agree with ablanda 10-20 should roll on a daily basis

As for stud I can see it going strong at nite....until simulcast is over

All I ask is that the tv by the stud table have Yonkers on cuz there's nothing better then stud and pick 4s at yonkers!!!!!!!

I got my reservations for the woodlands for the 12-14 and if the stud game was a horse race I'd be 1-9!!!!!!!

Being I've been around on vacation I need verification that sands is taking $6 plus there thinking about introducing the $2 time card like turning stone..

I was hoping to play as much 7 card as possible so I hope there's enough interest in a 1-5 spread type of game or something similar

Hi everyone. I'm a little frustrated. I'm living in upstate ny near Poughkeepsie. Closest game that I'm aware of is boxwoods/Mohegan sun at like 3 hours away. Been scouring through the threads to try and determine which casinos in pa are starting on which dates. It seems that there may be some going already. But even so they may or may not be really closer than ct casinos. Can anyone help me out with the names of casinos and start dates in a reply? Thanks in advance.

MS@PD or Mt. Airy are probably roughly the same distance for you coming down 84. Both of these properties open for tables and poker on 7/13, pending approval.
