Is there a "bring in" in the 2/2 PLO or can you limp for $2? What's the buyin range?

I saw on pg. 1 something about a 10/20 mix. Do mix games ever run since? Or anything non-NLHE/PLO other than 3/6 limit hold em and 5/10 flo8 I see on Bravo right now? Thinking about making a Pres Day weekend trip.

2-2 PLO is 300-1000. Not sure about bring in.

Finally got to make my first visit this weekend. Played the $340 tournament on Saturday, going back to an ante from everyone was kind of old skool fun but I hope they go to the BB Ante soon. Structure seemed pretty good but I'm sure the regular tournaments aren't as great. Seems like a nice room. All the dealers were good, seats comfy, as others have said drink service is not good but getting your own soft drinks is a nice touch. Liked the rest of the casino too. Good game selection although BJ seems to be 6/5 for anything other than the higher min bets. Had food in the sports bar which was reasonably priced and reasonably good bar fair. Plus luckily I made it from my car to the casino and back again without getting robbed, raped or killed.

Usually go to Foxwoods but as MGM is about the same distance driving wise I can see myself coming here just as often (which isn't very often to be fair).

Thanks for clarifying. Any info you can give on what the game plays like? Buyin range 100bb-500bb seems pretty odd without a bring-in. I play in a 100-1000 or table max PLO game with $1/2 blinds but $5 to bring in (so utg can pot to $15) and also with up to $20 optional straddles in any position, so it makes sense people buy in for $1000+ so what's the skinny on the MGM PLO game? Correct answers get this fish's action

2/2 PLO game can play pretty big once stacks inflate and people straddle on button for $5. Saturday night Chris Moneymaker was in town and cashed out of the game for about 8K and there were a couple other 2 to 4K stacks on the table. Game was playing more like 5/5 PLO.

How often does the plo go?

I do believe it ran this past Saturday night. Didn't see the game but I'm 90% I saw it on the board.

I don't know what you all are into but there are some great museums (Suess museum has awesome private correspondence, dude was friggin nuts) a couple strip clubs, and the Basketball hall of fame.

Casino also has ice skating, bowling, and a movie theater.

What is the progressive high-hand promotion ? According to Bravo, it looks like a regular $500 high hand every hour Th-Sat 10-10. Am I missing something, what's "Progressive" about it.

If the qualifying high hand is not met, prize rolls over to next hour.

If it rolls to next day, only half prize money rolls.

They got a 9max 5/5 PLO running last Saturday for sure starting around 4:30pm or so. Try joining 2/5 nlhe table and putting the idea out there, I’m pretty sure you’ll get a few ppl to join.

This is essentially my 'home' now that I've moved to Boston, until the Encore opens this summer.

I went to Foxwoods last week on a Saturday and it had the worst games I've ever seen at a casino on a Saturday. Bunch of nit-fock-regs. Was really, really bad. Was told that's the norm there. Haven't found that to be the case here (MGM), plus MGM is 30 mins closer.

I'm finding it not worthwhile to play 2/5 here. The 1/2 with the 100-500 buy in plays pretty close to a 2/5 game pre Black Friday. Lots of missteps deep stack play. Twice on Saturday I witnessed 150BBs going in on River (when the guy can take showdown for like $25) where best case scenario is a chop. And then the guy who loses thinks he got unlucky.

IDK what's going on out in Springfield MA, but those games are crazy good.

Also, had a guy (not in the hand) threaten me with physical violence while I'm in a big hand. I made sure he found the exit and the floor handled it well.

The parking garage is a real pain to get in and out of. One player on Saturday said the line was insane going into it at 8pm.

I left at 11:30PM and it was gridlock getting out of there. There's an exit on level 3 that can help avoid the congestion.

Is this a usual experience there? I've been under the impression from others that it's relatively easy in and out. That night had a sold out hockey game coupled with probably higher casino traffic due to the holiday weekend. I believe this is probably the first time these factors came together at once.

I’ve played every Saturday this year and did say to myself when I was leaving how much busier it was. Taking the 3rd level Union St. exit is the way to go. Though one of the reasons for the traffic may have been that the exit was closed because they were putting up a new banner on the side of the parking garage.

I expect the poker room to be pretty busy this next weekend because they’re having another 50k guaranteed tourney.
