I'm really not sure if it was a one chip call situation, or he verbally said "call" and then the guy immediately tabled his hand before the dealer could get the pot right and then he tried denying it. I could only hear him shouting louder and louder in a (drunk) European accent, "I NO CALL ALL IN!"
I know the MA gaming regulations require the dealers to make the pot right first, but if someone verbally says call and the guy with the nuts gets too excited and tables right away, I'm not sure what you can do to make him pay if he refuses. Just do what they did, drag him out and ban him. I'm not sure how the pot was resolved.
The lesson here is, since the room requirement is to make sure the pot is right, if someone verbally says call, make sure their money is IN the pot before tabling. Easier said than done sometimes, I know...
