I feel that there is a large ambiguity when it comes to showing cards in this room, really depends on the dealer

Seems that way, and I can sympathize with a newish room it's going to take time/training to get everyone on the same page.

What got me is that when he threw 2 of his 4 cards face up past the bet line, I figured that was a fold (forward motion).

Sorry, but not a real option for us.

Poor communication. We shouldn't be showing cards...

Johnny, what is the BBJ reset formula? It just reset at $4,362. That seems absurdly low.

We reseed the jackpot at $2,500. This was added to the amount from the previous days jackpot drop. 10% of the BBj drop goes to the jackpot each day and 90% goes to promos.

So basically someone can table their hand and get a read off me, but i cant do it to them because i know the rule. And for that matter, an angleshooting reg can also table his hand and get a read off me when he is planning to go home with no punishment that actually benefits me in any way. Not that id expect someone to get much of a read off me, but I feel like i like this rule in theory, but with no real punishment it serves little purpose, and maybe would be better off not even existing as a rule.

I can see why making the hand dead may be harsh, so maybe tabling your hand calls over floor and gives them a 5 or 10 second runoff to make a decision, that would counteract any perceived read.

JG are you planning to run the tournament this Monday?

As it is a federal holiday you might expect a pretty good turnout. I wouldn't mind allowing 15 tables to start.

With the exception of killing the hand(and we won't do that) our only redress is a warning, followed by progressively longer bans.... after a month long ban, the angles will likely cease...

Serious question: does this kind of thing happen a lot? I'm not sure I've ever seen this scenario play out.

Of course not. Check his post history. He's a Havax clone: endless complaining.

On a positive note, I played a session this week and every dealer but one was a complete all-star: great attitudes, great mechanics, and great control of the table. We're really lucky to have this room so close to the city.

Johnny-

Can we PLEASE consider allowing a VIP chair for games 10/25 and above (PLO would play 8 handed always and a 9th handed VIP chair, hold em would just add a 10th chair)

It is insanely frustrating you guys want all the high stakes action but there is only 2 high stakes tables and we cant at least reserve a table for later in the night on weekends when there is always multiple games and long list. When the 10/25 list is 20 people long no VIP is EVER going to wait for a game and rarely will a reg who started the game ever get up because they wont get back in until the next day.
Adding the VIP chair caters to your VIPs and and also rewards your regulars who constantly start games and battle it out to keep the games going (pretty sure this was mentioned in hype thread but never really addressed). It seems like we have seen enough weeks of action now to know this is a fantastic idea and I don't think anyone who plays these games would say otherwise.
If I you disagree can i get a petition and have it signed by 30 people to convince you otherwise and have this implemented?

Thank you very much

Another serious question: I dont play BBJ games so when it says that only 10% of the BBJ drop goes to the BBJ - where does the rest go? High hand promotions, monthly specials and the like?

What's a fair way to determine who gets preferential treatment?

I know MGM has been able to get 20/40 mix fairly regularly. But we need to have something that still low enough to entice people to want to play these games. For almost all recs and even some regs 20/40 as the entry is high.

I know MGM wants to help build a foundation to allow people to "work" their way up to bigger mix games.

Is there enough Intrest into getting a group to play let's say 6/12 mix. Games if Holdem, O8, Razz, Stud8 and 2-7 TD? Perhaps Johnny can authorized a 4 dollar time charge similar to what some other areas do?

I know that's a game I can look to play and start short handed any weekend and most weekdays when I'm not TDY.
