Johnny, besides the M/W 11 am tournament, any info on the other tournaments you listed above? Thanks.

Considering heading over tomorrow late morning - is tournament registration done at the same front podium or is it somewhere else? Thinking that trying to play cash tomorrow might be a mess if it is.

Those events were cancelled with the exception of the Monday-Wednesday 11am.

can you put the tourneys in a different room so they don't take up all the cash tables?

Any news on the promotions coming out next month?

Also any plans for adding more tables? The wait lists on holidays are ridiculous

I'll take the other side, I hope they dont add new tables. Its actually nice to be able to walk back and forth to the bathroom or cage and not be sliding against other chairs - its spaced so nice right now, much like the Wynn room. Maybe they have some overflow space they will use somewhere but I hope they leave the room pretty much as is.

Unfortunately I could see how they could easily add tables if they wanted to (part of my job is commercial interior space design). And walking through the casino you can see how they wanted the slots to be as close to each other as possible. Not even sure how some of those aisles are ADA compliant - the chairs are literally back to back. So who knows. I just hope they dont.

I've always seen crazy lists on Friday evenings (around 5pm). Anyone have any input on the wait time now that things are running smoother? I've been going to MDL instead because I didn't want to wait too long. I would prefer to go to MGM but I just hate waiting so much.

If you arrive at 5pm-6pm on a Friday, I would say wait is about an hour for 1/3 NL. Maybe an hour and a half. Everyone playing 2/5NL and all Small PLO are on those lists, so many of the names are dead...

Johnny,

Can we look at cheat sheet (paper) while in hand?I know looking into phones not allowed when you are in a hand.

Sometimes I look at my cheat sheet when somebody puts me ALL IN decision . I dont want to make a decision in a hurry so I want to look at my tips written on paper.

Using a "cheat sheet" makes it sound like you are cheating. Hopefully, cheating is not encouraged.

Sounds like something recreational players would love to have at the table: a pro or serious player consulting notes DURING a hand. Good lord. I hope you're not serious.

I am serious. Checking the notes saved me from huge loss.

For example I had top pair top kicker, there was draw on board and raise after my bet on flop, I bet on turn and huge bet by other player These situations I usually call since I have top pair top kicker, but my tip sheet saved me.I folded. The guy told me he had a set.

That's something that differentiates live from online poker - you don't have stats and notes available during the hand. You're supposed to use your brain and remember them.

The answer should clearly be no. You should be able to look at it between hands, but not at all after you've looked at your cards. If someone did this against me during a tournament, I'd likely call the floor. I'd expect a warning at minimum but more likely a one-orbit penalty.

I never heard or saw about this in the list of rules for playing poker live in casinos.I heard dealer specifically saying no use of phones during hand but not no looking at paper during hand.
Even at Roulette, lot of people keep notes and look at it, write something on it.
I just want confirmation from casino so that I will know If I should use it next time or not.

Don't use it when you have cards. I don't represent the casino but this is common knowledge.

Put me down as someone that would love to have someone at my table who thought they needed to look at written notes.

I obviously have no authority in this regard but I would be surprised if you're permitted to look at notes or a push/fold chart during a hand.

Even at roulette? Of course they have no objection to players keeping/reviewing notes during roulette. Anything to keep the rubes happy and under the illusion that there is some system/pattern to beat it.

If I'm not mistaken they even provide printed out sheets at some baccarat games to help players keep track of the game.

I have no problem with someone taking notes at the table (providing they don't slow the game down in the process), or reviewing notes in between hands. But not during a hand. Unless it is a note similar to the one Steve Dannamen (sp?) read out to the table during the WSOP main event many years ago.

But Didace makes a good point: there are notes, and there are notes.
