I dont know if anyone else is playing the 2/5 game on friday during promo any, but i went yesterday and the lineup seemed tougher than under the old promo. (Old promo seemed like id get a soft table like 75% and all the tables would be tougher tables 25%, so could be luck of the draw, we will see i suppose. Anyone else have any experiences?

“In a sense, stealing from any casino like MGM is like stealing from our children,” Braveboy said.

Next time you consider 3 betting to take it down preflop and avoid paying rake, THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

More promo ineptitude, so many $1k payouts. Wednesday let it ride promo is even allowing for an exact $600 payout for a bare minimum tax form if the $200 rides twicd (not sure how often that happens). 2/5 game has been a total regfest too.

Second busiest poker room in the country, it's going to be fine no matter how much you whine about it

And the busiest for violent crime! There are cardrooms in Compton and Oakland that are safer than mgmnh. Even Horseshoe Baltimore is safer because they have those event-style metal detectors everyone has to walk through.

I mean regardless of whether MGM is going to be fine or not, does this address Tomark's point? Shouldn't MGM's customers ask for a better quality of services without people coming back with the argument that essentially boils down to "they are still going to be profitable, therefore they are right, therefore eff off".

FWIW, I am in full agreement with the idea that promos should have the least amount of paperwork involved. I also liked lucky tables.

But the thing that grinds my gears recently is the slow service on Bread and Butter. It's a couple of clicks better than Snacks which makes it somewhat acceptable, but I cannot stand the fact that the customer service is absurdly slow. You can be second in line and order a salad and still wait 20 minutes to get it.

What really leaves a sour taste in my mind is the feeling that MGM as a corporation is nickel and diming me in order to squeeze that extra bit of profit. I mean seriously, corporate overlords. You can make half a percent less, but have 100% happier clients, wtf is wrong with you.

Lol nothing is zero percent and you can just look on bravo. IDC to do time zone adjusted analysis but there was literally an entire 3rd man walking podcast this week detailing how dead the Bike is.

Tomark, you have a 2010 reg date, have some self respect and stop talking about meaningless promos. Promos are for nits, which includes white guys on the spectrum and Asian men with dating/mom issues. Games are generally always better and less annoying outside of the big promo times.

Depending on the stakes you play, the promo money over the long term are equal to 1 to 2 BB per hour. Do you hate money?

They are but the correlation is the inverse. DUCY? Promos make those hours better for the games than if they weren’t there.

More money to be made late night, so your first point doesn’t make sense. Would you rather play late against gamblers/drunks straddling, laughing and talking about off-color topics or autists wiping down chips, sad omcs incessantly talking about promos, and chattering about boring topics?

I get that the rise of these promos have been great for the growing amount of single, lonely guys who are thrilled that mgm gives them a couple BBs then whine like spoiled brats whenever mgm nickels and dimes them. But this is 2p2 we used to make fun of nits and promo grinders, now it seems the people that used to get mocked on here are the majority of posters.

This is correct. Bike is dead now. Commerce is the only only busier room on averagr. Sometimes Tampa is up there but not consistently. It was more directed at the fact that he does nothing but complain in this forum constantly. Those promos are for the recreational players, those recreational players are for us to enjoy profit off of.

The $500/hr lucky table with 25 tables is $20/hr (it was even more with the more recent promo) and the big winners at 2/5 are winning $50/hr. 40% of your winrate is promo. But i guess this is as good of a time as ever to go on a weird racist rant.

You wouldnt even have to change pages to see me saying the +3 promo drop could potentially make me happy, and another post where i provided a news article, but dont let facts get in the way of you whining about my whining.

Im complaining about the casino, youre complaining about me. The only difference between us is that im actually on topic to the casino and youre just being mean natured and providing low quality troll bait.

Dont waste my time with this crap. Blocked.

Do any limit HE games higher than 4/8 get running very often? I'd like to play in a 10/20 LHE game if it ran on a regular basis.

I see a 20/40 mixed game listed on Bravo right now. What games are in that mix?

20/40 limit HE runs Thursday afternoons, the mixed games are: stud 8, 2-7 triple draw, 2-7 no limit single draw, badeucy, badacey, badugi, big o, razzdugi, PLO5, limit O8, sometimes plus or minus a couple of these.

Almost nowhere, it might even be nowhere, runs 10/20 LHE. You will find 8/16 and 15/30, but rarely 10/20. Below 15/30, LHE has always played as a white chip game. LHE players like lots of chips on the table. The exception is the pink chip games.

The Borgata has a 10-20 LHE game. It has been getting weaker of late though, like all the other games in the back room. It's possible it has stopped running but if so that is a recent development.

One of the reasons I don't like playing 4/8 is that white chips are the prevalent chip on the table. It takes too long for people to count out their bets and then to stack their chips when they win a pot. I haven't played an 8/16 game in a while, but I think the last time I did, they played with $2 chips (light blue colored?) so it was the same number of chips as the 4/8, which was still slightly painful to watch some players count out their bets. I couldn't image trying to play 8/16 with just whites. Playing 10/20 or 15/30 with red chips isn't too bad. I think this is mostly because you typically have experienced players playing those levels so they don't have as much trouble counting out their chips. I've only played 20/40 once in LA and I think they used $10 chips.

No, 20-40 plays with $5 chips just about everywhere (including LA, the weird thing in LA is the $5 chips are yellow). 40-80 plays with $10 chips. both are 4 chip/8 chip games.

Does anybody know why the 10/20 Big O game show up as "10-20 LHE 100-NoMax" on the BravoPokerLive app and website?

It seems to be something specific to MGMNH because Maryland Live has this on their Bravo page "10-20 BIG O".

In person, the screens show the game as 10/20 Big O so there must be something between their system and Bravo's.
