Is the 1 2 5 card PLO really as good as it was this past week for me? This seems like the easiest/softest game I've ever played. People call 3 pot bets with queen high flush and get shown the nuts every single time but then they just buy another $700 bullet. Also how are the higher 5 card PLO games there?

Ok, follow-up. I read that MGM matches Hyatt loyalty status. Anyone have any advice on how to go about doing that?
I played in this game last week for like 8 hours. Was incredibly soft and fun, also they took away omaha 8 and replaced it with Razz-dugi this week lol.

What time did it run? And how much on average were people buying in for? Was it just one table, and how many players? I really want to check this game out but MGM is a bit of a hike for me so I want to be prepared.

Ran nonstop last week with at least one table and as many as 3. Always a list too. Max buyin is 700, most initially buy in for 500-700. The game was incredible over the few days I played, super passive in general, people constantly getting tons of money in drawing to non nut hands, people constantly reloading. Someone who sat next to me dusted off 4k in 3 hours.

Higher stakes games are a lot tougher than the 1/2/5. Seems like usually 3-5 pros, and most recs aren't horrible.

1/2/5 games varies in quality a lot for sure, but are always decent.

Ok I thought we were talking about a 20/40 with big bet games capped at 400, so I’m confused why there’s a max at all, and even more confused that it’s less than 20 big bets. Did I have a detail wrong, or has online grossly misprepared me for the way live mixed is structured?

Also, around what time did the game get running?

He responded to you about just plo when you asked about the mixed. He must be slow.

Game starts at 2. Generally a 10 game mix. 20/40 on Wednesdays and 10/20 on Mondays. More questions feel free to shoot me a PM.

Thanks,

I’m sorry, I stupidly mixed up the Omaha game with your question about the mix. The game started around 2 pm last Wednesday. Just one table. 8 players most of the times. People usually bought in for a couple racks of red. It was a very fun atmosphere, with a few people drinking rather heavily.

Man. Got here at 830 for the 915 drawing, and didnt make it onto the 9 am openings at 1/3 or 2/5 (i did forget to call ahead to 2/5). Looks like they are about 7 dealers short of being able to seat everyone.

Haven’t played in a while. Is Snacks closed again for some reason? Anything else new in the room?

Took my family to Voltaggio Bros, first time I've been there since maybe a year after MGM opened.

That first time I was there, it was incredible - every steak super tender, melt-in-your-mouth quality. This time, it was a disappointment. It was tasty for sure, but tasted much more like a mid-end steakhouse. Now I see why so many players complain that it's not worth the price.

Guess I'll save up comps to just go for the Wagyu next time.

So apparently it's because the staff is being trained for Bread and Butter which opens the first week of December..so they need to hire new staff for snacks

Thoughts on new bread and butter place in the market?

I’ve tried the late night menu twice and both times were a letdown. Many items are just ingredients from other places with different names. Maybe it’s better if you pick from the regular hours menu?

Last thing we needed was another unhealthy food option…!

Tried it during breakfast hours and was pleasantly surprised, better options including avocado toast. Not a bad addition to the market.

"Regarding metal detectors, FOX 5 was told there are no metal detectors when it comes to the main property or casino entrances. This is standard for casinos in Maryland, FOX 5 was told. "

That's deceptive. Both md live and Baltimore have gunpowder detectors.
So while technically right, MGM sucks because of spin.

Oh, this snatch and grab of table chips also happened at mgm a few months ago in April 2023.

I feel like it’s only a matter of time before a gun gets pulled at a table after a bad beat
