Honeys chicken in food court:
Chicken sandwich now says $12 but using poker comps, still $10.

I had $10 from poker loaded onto my card.
The receipt says honey took $12 poker comps to cover the sandwich.

The receipt doesn't show that any MGM comps were used.

Now that I'm vaccinated, I'll be back soon. I'm curious, is Snacks still closed?

I checked the OP and the last 200 posts, and couldn't find answers to these questions. Looks like the OP hasn't been updated for COVID times. I'm considering a trip down and was wondering what the protocols are at the moment.

I did learn the pick-up policy, that the restaurant service sucks, that I may get robbed there (all of which was useful), and more than I ever wanted to know about urination (which may be useful if I get robbed at gunpoint).

Anyway, I'm wondering...

1. How many players per table?
2. Plexiglass? Masks required?
3. OK to drink at the table? Eat?
4. Is 2/5 running daily?
5. Is 5/T or T/25 running at all? Which days?
6. Rake/time structure still the same as before?
7. Any other changes I didn't think to ask about?

Thanks!

Are there any days/times that 5/5 5-card PLO runs regularly? Seems very sporadic on Bravo, but not sure if I just noticed a pattern.

I haven't been to MGM in like a year and a half.

Most of the 5/5 PLO players have not been there. I think they started a home game because a lot of them only played to socialize. The fancy wine is gone - the plexi glass - masks - all makes it a lousy environment.

I've seen the game run a few times, but it's not the regular players. The 1/2 game still runs with the same donks.

I showed up one night bc Bravo said it was going - but it was actually not going and was only a list by the time I got there. Had been hoping to get the 5-5 4 card going as well but no luck there either.

Hopefully once the plexi comes down we'll have more luck.

Dang, thought that was the case. Higher stakes PLO seems to be dead in the rooms around the area - MD Live, Charles Town, and MGM. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they primarily moved to home games.

Thanks for the responses. Fingers crossed for it reviving after plexiglass goes away.

7-max
2. Plexiglass? Masks required?
Plexiglass and masks.
3. OK to drink at the table? Eat?
No food, drinks OK. Drink service is hit or miss.
4. Is 2/5 running daily?
Yes.
5. Is 5/T or T/25 running at all? Which days?
5/T daily, T/25 more on weekends.
6. Rake/time structure still the same as before?
Yes.
7. Any other changes I didn't think to ask about?
Men's room is in women's room, so more space.

Thanks!

As MGM returns to normal - let's talk # of players at the table. Some people love 7 handed, others prefer 9 handed. I think we all can agree 10 was the worst. Maybe 8 handed would be a good compromise moving forward?

My sources have told me that when the plexiglass comes down, it will be 8-handed for cash and 9-handed for tournament tables.

Bravo shows two tables of 10/10 PLO going... is that legit? Is it actually 4-card?

Maybe true when plex comes down but when pandemic is “over” it will be back to at least 9 and 10 respectively.

Tbh if they looked at how much more rake they made 7 handed vs 9 handed idk why they would ever go back to 9 handed.

I read that borgata is going to 8 when the dividers come down.

So for mgm nh, its probably up to jg's replacement

Yeah it went at the behest of a pro sports player who shall remain nameless. The $25 UTG straddle was on. The game was lit. Hope it runs again.

So, broadly speaking, is it actually fun playing these days or do the masks/plexiglass ruin things? I.e. do I want to spend my first day in 14 months without my family at the casino tomorrow for fun or is it just a grind?

I find it to be more of a grind. Mainly due to less action.

Johnny told me about 6 months ago. That they will most likely go to 8 handed poker. My hope is covid-19 has killed 9 handed poker.
