The Horse race people are out of hand. Constant yelling about nothing for hours right next to the higher limit tables.

Not like it was an MGM account either, it was his personal account. I hope he's OK.
Well, he's still breathing. Saw him in the room on Wednesday.

Cool, so I guess still working there. I wonder if they're looking for his replacement then? Why the job posting? Oh well. It'll just be a mystery

+1 re: horse race people. Their hollering is particularly bothersome when you are in the middle of a hand and need to concentrate. Management may not understand (may not care?) that poker is not like table games and mental focus is extremely important for good players. A reason I try to avoid tables 7/8 near the slots. Too noisy.

I can't believe people play poker at Planet Hollywood in Vegas in the conditions they do.

Hey there.

So if you are interested I was part of a group that go the 6/12 and 8/16 mix game going consistently before covid.

We would usually play HORSET and started introducing badugi.

My goal for the mix, being that itís lower limit, would be best served as an introduction to mix in general and we kept the games very ďsimpleĒ and easy to understand before people may move up to the 20/40+ mix.

If you are interested please reach out to me because Iím trying hard to get the 8/16 mix going again. The game is time raked as well which is fantastic. Wish comps were better tho, give up time towards tiers!!

I would be interested in this, I'm a mixed games fish so it would take me a few weeks to learn the basics but if you're up for starting in early May I'd be down to play.

Re: MGM National Harbor Resort & Casino (Oxon Hill, MD); FAQ in OP

What's happening with today's Sunday tournament? Was waiting in line 20-deep half an hour before the thing was to begin to sign up (expect the cage to be understaffed, no issues there) but then they announced over the PA that the tournament was ALREADY full and had an alternate waitlist going? Better to not have tournaments at all if they're going to be done half-assed or half-staffed, or wait to start them up where you don't have a 40-person waitlist before the first card is dealt. Left before it began, but I can't imagine it's going well.

Word on the street is that SIXTEEN dealers called out today. The tournament began with only four tables (was sold out) and then a fifth table was opened (two floormen took turns dealing, good on them).

Easter.
They will probably be dinged for double points.

Do dealers know in advance how many downs they will be dealing tourneys?
(I would also call out if I'm dealing majority downs in tourneys on Easter day)

I don't know what we did to lose bathroom privileges, but why exactly are 4 of the 9 stalls locked? Is there something wrong with the plumbing again?

The more stalls they keep locked up, the fewer stalls they have to clean up

It’s a trade-off. Fewer stalls = the ones remaining become filthier, faster. So pick your poison. Dirtier stalls; or, cleaners ones, but more of them to clean.

Personally, I wonder two things. One: Did they lock up half the stalls when only the ladies used them. Two: Who decided that one row of stalls was enough but two was too many, and why. Seems to defeat the purpose of moving us into a more spacious restroom only to close half of it.

Having been involved in the janitorial biz, i would say cleaning 4 completely piss splattered stalls is much easier then cleaning 8 slightly piss splattered stalls especially when the cleaning has to be done continuously to maintain MGM's classy 4 star resort image. i rather bend down 4 times to wipe that piss a little harder than 8 times

If you want them to open up more stalls, aim better and keep them clean

Janitors locking up half the stalls are trying to send a message to you filthy degenerates IMO

Re: MGM National Harbor Resort & Casino (Oxon Hill, MD); FAQ in OP

While urinating in the MGM restroom, I realized, thanks to the beam emitted by the laser activated toilet, that it was not coming out in a solid stream but rather had a twist to it, like a corkscrew. I guess it's to improve the aim like the rifling (twist) in a gun barrel. This got me to wondering: am I the only person in the world with this twist, or are there others? Or maybe everyone (male) has a twist? Now mine is a right-turning twist. For others who may have a twist, are they only right-turning, or are some left-turning as well? If both types exist, which is more predominant? And if both twists exist, which one allows for straighter shooting?
