OK awesome. I already have a black card I was just mentioning the diamond for anyone who has it and wants a gold mlife, if they happen to be in AC they can match their diamond to a black card then match their black to gold mlife next time they are at mgm

The OP said they exist, but not on the casino floor. Unless being on the casino is a requirement for some, You should still be able to play VP.

Also, we need to verify.

There are certain outlets that mention Video Poker at MGM NH. I'm not sure about posting URLs in here. But I would be confident that VP is at MGM NH. They should list all of the available games on MGM NH's Gaming URL, but they don't. I guess they just want you to come and find out for yourself.

I don't think you understand. Video Poker and Video Lottery Terminals are not mutually exclusive. I am pretty sure that all "slot machines" (including VP) in Maryland are technically Video Lottery Terminals.

I'm still searching for an update after 2012, (table game vote) but here is the proof of VLT historically: http://gaming.mdlottery.com/about-us/

Wifi isn't fast, dinner list situation is a nightmare. You have to wait for a floor, they have to count your chips and you have to tell them when it's your last hand. If you go to dinner they pick up your chips (you cannot keep your seat at your game) and when you come back you're at the top of the list. Your only option to eat and keep your seat is a 30 minute timer. Waitresses come around less often than they do at Live. As mentioned it's freezing cold. I've had 3 open seats at my table for the last 30 minutes despite a huge list/line. 3 of my least favorite dealers ever at Live/Shoe are here dealing and maybe a top 3 worst floor is flooring here.

Other than that everything is great!

I already had a mlife card. It was the basic tier card as well.

Wow! Sounds like you should head to MDL immediately so I can come take your seat.

Seriously though, did you really expect everything to run smoothly on day 1? Just like any other service-based business, I always give 1-3 months to let them work out the kinks. I never go to a new restaurant, bar, etc., within the first couple of months and expect anything other than a ****show. That way if anything goes right I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'd be interested in hearing from you again around mid-March to see what's changed.

Being opening day, I'm sure things will smooth out in the coming weeks. I used to go to openings at restaurants. Almost always disappointed. Food was as expected, but the service was lacking. Now I wait until processes and service have had time to gel a bit before trying out a restaurant or other retail on opening day.

Be sure to keep that "suggestion box" full. Great companies actually value those suggestions as we've seen in here with Johnny Grooms.

What I don't understand about the $2 promotion drop is that every other casino I've played in that had a $2 promotion drop actually had promotions besides the BBJP. And it doesn't seem to me like the sort of promotions these casinos has (high hands, rakeback, freerolls) would require any substantial money to seed before the promotion period started.

Promotions are used to drive business. Why should they worry about this until the initial rush dies down a bit. They have to spend the promotion money eventually, so I'm not too concerned. Why not wait for them to get everything else sorted out and then see what they do for promotions.

It was HSB that went to $2 first. Live just copied them.

IIRC:

HSB went to $2
Live went to $2
HSB went to $1 (but kept the $7 making it $6/1)
Live stayed at $2 ($5/$2)

So is the 2/5 game supposed to be 9 or 10-handed? I'm walking around now and seeing at least 2 10-handed 2/5 tables, and one being run 9-handed.

I'd bet there are very strict rules and limitations on promotion funds. For instance, the promo fund cannot pay the casino, and the casino cannot pay the promotion fund (as it would technically offset their profit, taxes, and gaming commission cut). I'd also imagine a casino may be liable to lose their license if they were unable to pay an advertised promo.

What I'm getting at, is that there are probably a multitude of reasons why the casino wants to or needs to save up a bank in the promo before starting payouts. What if two jackpots hit on the same night? Improbable but not impossible.

I've seen a lot of people asking for pictures of the room. I don't see how that's going to work given the privacy guideline in LCP. If you have comments or suggestions please post them in the Moderation Discussion Thread. Thanks.

There was a really cool periscope floating around on twitter last night. Believe it was hosted by the Aria account so you can work your Google magic and get a peak there.

Fyi, there is an ENTIRE section of video poker, including 10, 50, and 100 hand.... And it's directly next to the poker room... Great call by prior posters

Same here. I took Uber and walked in through the valet entrance with no issues. Signs on the way in said parking lots are full, FWIW.

Lists for 1/3 and 2/5 are long (60+) but seek to be moving pretty quickly. I have gone from bottom of list to about #25 in 15 minutes.

Poker room appears to be at or very near 100% full. Rest of casino floor is
Fairly full - though there are open seats at lots of the table games.

PS - Blackjack pays 6 to 5 everywhere but at the $100
minimum tables.
