My friend got a text from his host yesterday that said MGM is opening on Thursday for Noir/Platinum only. The casino, not the poker room. But you would think the poker room is not too far behind.

Is it legal to exclude people based off their membership status? Not sure what the gambling laws say in Maryland but I feel like that wouldn’t fly in Vegas.

I don't see why it wouldn't fly in Vegas or anywhere else for that matter.

There are member or status events all the time. Just like the soft open. Invite only.

With Live and Horseshoe Baltimore opened or ready to open, I'm surprised I haven't heard anything from MGM National Harbor. Anyone know why the delay? Any issues with local county (like HS Balt, which had to wait for the mayor to clear)?

PG is the hardest hit county in MD and is slower in phased reopening than most of the state, like Mont Co.

I’m interested to see if any changes or improvements have made in the poker room or throughout the entire property.

Dont count on anything other than some extra cleaning. Companies hate spending money when they're not making any. The are funny like that.

Given that Live and horseshoe are implementing mandatory masks, and how their county was hardest hit in the state, I'd be surprised if it isn't mandatory. But we'll see.

Seems to be a disconnect between their web page and the PDF that their web page links to. Right beneath where it says they are required it says "Learn More" which links to the PDF that still says the same thing it said three months ago - encouraged but not required. Anything I've seen on local news, WTOP, NBC etc said the same thing - encouraged but not required.

That one line on the website is the only mention I've seen so far of it being required. But again - it links to their own policy which says the complete opposite.

Edit - they seem to have clarified on Facebook: The health and safety of our staff is extremely important to us, which is why upon announcing our reopening today, we indicate that masks will be required by all guests upon entering the resort. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, safely.

Nh will not be doing temperature scans for customers. Only employees and contractors. West Virginia Hollywood was a temp check for anyone coming in. I'm going tomorrow as a "invite only" rewards member. Will post what I see in regards to bathroom/poker. I doubt much has changed.

But yes the memo says it's mandatory to wear a mask.

Anyone know If NH will be doing a reservation system like Live? Or if it will just be open and they monitor the crowd size.
