With their Anniversary promotions to get a seat it is better to reach there by 8AM.
I think last year it was $500 every 10 or 15 minutes. On a Saturday. This is $500 every hour. Sure it's going to be crazy, but I don't think it's going to be crazy as last year.

Wait is this only one hot seat an hour not ten?

No, it's ten hot seats every other hour which a little bit better than a hot table which is also every other hour.

Since the tables are 9 handed that means they’re only giving out 4500 for each of those drawings as opposed to 5000 for the 10 hot seats right? Does this make the promotion not truly a 100K giveaway or does the remaining 500 from each of the table draws get dispersed some other way?

(Last year it was 2 $500 hot seats every 10 minutes within the hour except the final 20 minutes which all added up to 100K)

I think last year's promotion ended sooner than 4:00 AM though.

Also to note- the 2 player every 10 (or 20) minute hot seats guaranteed that active players (in Bravo) were paid and the whole 100K was dispersed. With the lucky table drawings 5K is missing off the bat (9-handed, $500x10 drawings) and there will almost certainly be tables drawn with people either away or an empty seat, which would be worth $500 each.

Is that correct? Really running the promo into the early hours past midnight?
If it is said on the internet, it must be true.

But how much did you lose?

See they are pushing 8/16 “every day” w $3/hr comps.

Bravo says says 30 tables. 1 4/8. 0 8/16.

Does it ever run? Planning on ML next Friday into Saturday but would drive the extra distance for 8/16.

That’s awful. What’s the backstory? My boys infamously unplugged a bedroom TV at ages 3 and 4 and plugged in a metal corn tong. I only learned 25 years later at the younger ones wedding that the hair raising and scorch mark on the wall was from their SECOND attempt. Very fortunate thats all that happened.

It only rarely runs but sometimes on Saturday’s. Check bravo. They won’t hesitate to run it, but there has to be interest in playing.

The backstory was posted here, and you can get to from that news story with a couple clicks, but the short version is: in 2018 a fence around the fountain was accidentally electrified and the girl (and a security guard who tried to help her) got shocked. The girl had/has serious injuries.

Sunday is going to be a mad house as it was last year.

If I remember correctly they weren't allowing table changes. Hope this changes because half my table was folding any 2 cards except rockets

Sadly I have to head back (Philly) about noon Saturday. Looks like it’s 4/8 at live.

Re the injury above/settlement above

In March 2018 I got my hand cut in the high limit section/area. The railings were basically behind held together with duct tape since they were falling apart. When you walked down the ramp the railings were like needles since lots of the metal was warped/bent and ended giving me a small cut about an inch wide on my hand.

Anyways the security had to take pictures and stuff, few days later I got offered some $ for 'my pain and suffering'. Anyways I was stupid and never got back to them.

LOL @ 5/10 10/25 reg/injury lawyer JS who told me I would never get a penny, which is sorta true due to my laziness, shoulda prop bet him fml

Wow. Sounds like you walked away from easy $5k. More if you wanted to put some effort into it.

Maybe, IDK they offered me somewhere in between the min 500 and max 2500 for 5/10. Could I have asked for more? I'm not a regular at MGM NH, from Toronto, Canada, but just enjoying playing when im in the DC area.

Knock off this nonsense 10 hour wait for a lousy free money promo
And give away some big ticket items that people can actually get excited about.

Btw fix the urinal.

I’m also not particularly excited about this promo. What we gain in the chance at some free money we lose in many other areas (early wake up, insufferable wait time for most, no table transfers, no dinner breaks, only 30 minutes away from the table for the entire day). Also by making the lucky table promo random they basically made everyone a prisoner to their seat for the entire hour, punishing the many for the sins of the few. Seems like they did away with that wrinkle quickly though. Thank goodness.

I get that this promo caters mainly to the masses/draws more rake-contributing players to the room. While that’s good for the bottom line in the short-term, it’s also unfortunate because the regs who contribute the most to the promo drop funding today’s drawings are the ones complaining about this.

What would be great is something that caters to the higher-volume players like free rooms or more entries into tournaments, like we had a couple months ago. Basically more rake-back. I wonder what percentage of the rake the top 5% of players (in volume) contribute?
