That is a SOSA request, not IWTSTH.

Yes, the cards should be exposed at the conclusion of the hand if the dealer is sure that the hand was shown to neighbor. (I have no idea what the dealer is talking about with respect to them not having been shown after the fold, that is completely irrelevant. The only relevant info is whether the player who saw the hand still had betting action to come (in this round of betting, or in future rounds of betting), which would impact whether the hand should be shown immediately, at the end of the betting round, or at the end of the hand.)

No, it's not a big deal if that doesn't happen, people show their hands to their neighbors all the time, only the nittiest nits get bend out of shape about it.

Right, SOSA is what I meant. Those people are terrible for the game and can **** off.

Johnny, can you please enlighten us on what the official room rule is for moving to an open seat? This happens on daily basis and it’s getting crazy.
New player comes to the table and takes the seat, all of a sudden, people who had plenty of time to take that open seat want to move, followed by another player now wanting his seat, but he wants to play the button first etc.
So the new player has to stand up and wait forever.
The ruling has been inconsistent, half the floor says you have to play a hand before the seat is yours, the the other half says as soon as you put chips/players card down the seat is yours and nobody can move you.
So, which one is it?
And whatever it is, can you somehow enforce it across the board and keep it consistent?

most of the casinos i played in around the country, especially reno, always let people already in the game have priority over a new player sitting down. lots of times people are in the middle of a hand, dont see the other guy get up, and the new player whose watching and not playing, tries to instantly stick his card and chips in the seat within 2-3 seconds as the other player gets up to try to screw those of us who want to move out of moving. and u, who desperately wants out of the center seat or the seat by the dealer, is now not permitted to move to seat 3 because his chips are already there. ive seen this happen before in 1-2 rooms. but the vast majority of rooms dont screw those already playing this way. they have priority in seat selection over a new player.

are “those people” the players who show another player their cards, or the players who ask to see the exposed hands, according to the rules.

The latter. They do not use the information for any purpose, they just cannot stand by and let other people flaunt the rules and are willing to make the game un-fun for everyone else to prove that point.

Was there a guarantee for $1125 high roller?

If there is no GTD, why ruin a nice running Sunday 25K event? Didn’t think it attracted too many players, in addition half of those are winners of a satellite.

They can't make you stand there and wait for them to "play their button". They also deserve to be berated for being selfish and an ******* if they try and do this.

Next time you’re in the poker room, smell something awful and you can’t figure out what it is...look around and it’s likely you’ll see a teriyaki bowl nearby.

This isn’t a joke or a troll; the smell really is that bad!

I’m positive the furikake is the culprit. I’ve ordered the bowl several times, requested, “no furikake,” and there is no bad smell.
+1. The stench of the teriyaki bowl is truly revolting. It’s powerful enough to warrant a table change. If JG could coordinate with the manager of Snacks to get this “furikake” ingredient removed, we’d all have a better poker room experience.

The solution appears to be fairly simple:

Either the player who is already at the table takes the seat, or the new player should take the seat without having to wait.

Yes, unfortunately, they can. That’s the whole reason of my post, duh.
It goes both ways, sometimes the player moving gets berated, sometimes the new player for not allowing seat changes for players “who’ve been here long before you, buddy”.

Hey all,

I have Monday off and see an 11:15 $125 Survivor Tournament on the schedule. What is it?

The schedule? It’s a listing of upcoming events, but that’s not important right now...

There is no explanation or structure sheet on the site. Is it a thousandmaker?

The 2/5 Table transfers are being abused by a few people. Some people will transfer tables like 6 times a night.

Especially late night around 2am it usually results in the game breaking because the tables get unbalanced. Usually they transfer to a full game and leave our game 7 handed, and as soon as 1 person racks up the game becomes 6 handed, than people start walking around, than the game becomes 4 handed and breaks. (It broke the Thursday night game late night)

When we call the floor to bring back the player the floors response is sorry - it won't happen again, but it continues.

I mean how many table transfers do people need? It just seems like a lot of work for the brush and the players that abuse it are just bum hunting certain players trying to get away from them.

I mean can't people just play where they are sent or if they must transfer, get like 1 or 2 transfers per night?

It’s usually the same people all the time. It does get annoying.

Got 2 items at Saigon Street today, $34 pretax so I requested that much in comps. It rang up $36.xx and I had to pay the tax out of pocket. Anyone else have this same experience (or at Saigon Street only)? I’ve always gotten a comp for food pre-tax in the Market and at Snacks no problem.

It should be noted that the comp for Saigon Street was separate from the Market, so maybe it’s like Shake Shack?
