One cashier window open on Sunday night. 15 in line and new staff members showing up every 3 minutes to cut in line. Time I waited in line to cash out: 25 minutes.

Drunk at the bar is being arrested, taken down, and tazed (for what?) by police feet from the poker table. To me this scene was very disturbing. Please do something about this. Not something I come to MGM poker room to be exposed to against my will. (I walked away from this brutal scene as soon as I could.)

This wouldn’t be as huge of an issue if they actually sold chips at the brush stand like they said they would. But as it is almost never staffed, and since there are no first buys at the table, the line is always long.

It looks as if MGMNH poker is not currently showing in Bravo.

Why does MGMNH have recurring issues like this?

MDL also has multi-day guarantee covering the same dates.
This is going to be great to watch!

How awesome will it be when both casinos easily cover their guarantees. It is really going to say a lot for Poker in our area. (Atlantic City couldn't pull this off these days.)

We have a top 5 poker market and maybe the best on the east coast. Exciting times for poker.

This is routine. If they’re going to have a separate line for chip runners, they should also have a dedicated window. It’s pretty frustrating to be waiting in line and get cut 5 times.

I agree wholeheartedly. Please designate a window for staff so customers don’t feel like they’re perpetually being cut in line by staff after they have already been waiting for a long time. I’ve seen many in line get frustrated over it.

If I see a line that is 6 long, I may take a chance and wait thinking it won’t take too long. But when the line unexpectedly grows to 10+ due to staff cutting, it’s like a kick in the face.

I was not able to bring my water bottle into mgm today. The security guard said we can no longer bring in water bottles Ok that’s fine. But cocktail servers are very rare in this place. I used to bring a 40oz water bottle and fill it up at the bottle filling station.

Someone at my table has a water flask so I guess they arnt very efficient at enforcing it. Still extremely tilting. Why did they change the water bottle rule?

I am interested in knowing the answer to this question also, Johnny.

Not certain, but we did have a Boil water notice this week in our area of PG county due to a broken water main. I suspect this was the cause.

So can you confirm that water bottles are allowed in the room? I've been prevented from entering with a water bottle a year ago or so then that all the sudden stopped. I doubt this was the boil water advisory if it happened today because that was lifted several days ago. They also let water bottles in during the 2 days the advisory was actually in effect.

I have brought Gatorade in the past with no problem. When I brought Gatorade to Maryland Live, I was told that I could not bring it into the casino, which was disappointing. I did not feel like taking it back to my car, so I threw it away. I no longer go to Maryland Live.

Would I be allowed to bring Gatorade into the MGMNH poker room without having a problem?

Thanks.

If we have to order water from the servers, can we have bottles that are longer than a shotglass? Or we could even have self-serve water, but only if we use an MGM cup -- that would be better than the tiny bottles.

Many poker players are putting in long sessions of mental competition. It seems stupid & problematic to not have an explicit exception for water, or at least a better in-house water option than waiting 5-55 minutes to get one (or maybe two if you're lucky) tiny bottles at a time from an overworked waitstaff who would rather be serving things that earn them better tips. Frankly I don't think the current waitstaff levels are prepared for any amount of spike in additional usage.

It takes a lot to get me to join a complaint thread on 2+2 but this one seems important and clear.

So if i want to drink water in your poker room, my choices are;

1) go to the bar and pay $4 for the smallest bottle of water MGM can manufacture;

2) wait until one of the waitresses manages to reach my table, which is often more than an hour, and if they don't have water with them, it's additional time until they return to my table with water;

3) leave the poker room entirely to try and find water somewhere in the casino.

I didn't think there was anything that could drive me away from your poker room, but this will do it. If I don't have easy access to water, I'll go elsewhere. This is ridiculous. Why are you intentionally making it difficult to drink water in your poker room? How is this an issue?
