Affirmative. The game only went about an hour before fizzling out. There was talk about getting it going next Wednesday.

Is there a way to limit how many table transfers a day/week someone can use? Some people are using it to bum hunt fish and it ruins the games and friendly vibe at times.

I've been in a few pretty fun games and we were chatting it up and having fun, and some of these players will try and transfer over to our games just to nit it up and it kind of ruined the whole vibe. Long story short - the table broke with in an hour.

I get that you get in some bad games once in a while, but to transfer all over the room bum hunting fish is kind of ridiculous.

Maybe get 1 or 2 table transfer limits every 8 hours or say they have to play a different game type after 2 table transfers that aren't because of broken games.

Ugh, i didnt know thats what it was and so i didnt drive over.

There needs to be a clearer name of the game, no one is going to ask to play it if its just “NL Holdem”

If it’s not mandatory then the system won’t work.

EDIT: Here are Johnny's posts saying it's mandatory

If someone shows up at the table with a mismatched card or no card at all, they will be asked to leave.

Just an FYI.... we are currently using a “soft opening” approach to this to diagnose the problems with it. We will begin using this permanently on 1/2/19.

What does that mean with regard to whether Mlife cards are mandatory to play poker?

Mlife card are NOT mandatory to play poker. We are asking for them when players approach the brush, and will be logging players in to the table from
The front stand to help eliminate table- and list jumping. For those that dont have/refuse to get a card, we will use table cards.

If you have and are using table cards sometimes anyway, why not stick to one simpler system and just always use table cards.

1. Are January promotions the same as prior months?
2. Assume no (or we already would have heard about it) but confirmed no different/special promotions for NYE or NYD?

Thanks for the improvements on skippers/jumpers

January promos have some differences. They will be poasted on Bravo today.

Looking at Bravo, What's the difference between 5 Card O High and Big O? I thought Big O was the 5 card version of omaha.

5 card Omaha is a high only game. Big O is the hi/lo version.

Have these been posted yet? I checked, but didn’t see them. November promos are still up.

Johnny,

Happy 2019! I'm loving the room. It's by far my favorite in the DMV. I logged over 1,300 hours there this year. (That's a lot of rake.)

I've encountered a problem with accessing my comps over the past several months. It is a recurring problem and it is getting increasingly annoying each time it happens. It has occurred no less than five times over the past six months.

Basically, I ask the brush/floor to access comps for a specific restaurant/cafe and they mistakenly release the comps to a different place. I arrive at the intended restaurant and the cashier says "sorry, nothing on your card." Rather than take the 15 minutes it would take to walk upstairs, downstairs, and back, I pay out of pocket.

Afterwards, I always bring this to the attention of the employee who released the comps and normally they ask a floor person to refund me the balance, but they do not reimburse me for the out-of-pocket expense incurred as a result of the mistake. Instead, I get a small freebie like an iced coffee or (this time) access to the spa facilities. Bottom line, this means money out of my pocket for an MGM problem. Doesn't seem right and totally negates the point of the comps system each time it happens.

Can you please remind employees to be sure they release comps to the correct restaurant?

Maybe something can be changed on the drop-down menu on the system to make each choice distinct? This last time, the brush said "shake shack" (what I asked for) was right next to "snacks," which caused the problem.

Many thanks for your attention to this recurring issue.

^ I’ve had the same problem and it’s frustrating. I think a better solution is to enable us to get our own comps at the machine. Soon, please!

Johnny,

Is there any reason floor management would demand that players at a reduced-rake table switch back to paying full rake? Assuming that no additional players sit and the table has been paying reduced-rake for the previous downs. Some clarification would be greatly appreciated.

To those above, the one time I had that specific issue with my comps, the cashier was able to call the poker room floor IIRC and had them correct the situation. It took 5/10 minutes for the comps to transfer but I didn't have to make a trip back upstairs. The cashier was nice enough to process my order while the comps transferred.

There is no reason that should happen. If you qualify for a reduced rake and no additional players are dealt in, you should stay at the reduced rake. If that ever happens, ask for the shift manager on duty.

The best solution, in my opinion, is to allow players to spend the comp dollars directly from the players card at the restaurants, without needing to have someone make the comp dollars available for a given day.

Other casinos do this. I do not understand why this is not being done here.

See approximately 50-60 posts on this topic. All operators would prefer it to be this way. But at the moment, it isn’t. I have been pushing for this since pre opening.... and will continue to push.
