I know how busy JG is with the new room opening and running other things in addition to managing the poker room.

He should designate one of the TD’s (like NittyJay at Live) to manage the info on Twitter/Bravo.

JayTD is always on top of updating the information and advertising the room promos/events on Social Media. They made social media an integral part of their campaign.

If twitter is in the hands of corporate and Jg doesn’t have much say, he should designate a TD to manage the Bravo. He can confirm that bravo would be accurate 100% of time so we rely more on that.

He should inform corporate that he needs a person that is more active on the social media.

When two foreigners sit with each other (usually side by side) each and everyday for at least two months straight, at what point do we start to assume at least some form of soft collusion is involved?

The minute they set foot in the casino. Gotta watch out for the damn foreigners, they’re much sneakier then when two American friends sit next to each other daily!

What stake do u reg?

I mean, if its 1/3 and u play competetly then any soft or hard collusion is ok for you for obv reasons (everyone basically sucks, sheer # of tables running etc)

At risk of moderation, these two simply NEVER play back at each other.

In the bigger games (5/T+ I would say), it may be worth using the shot clocks either only on the first two or three streets, or only facing bets of a certain size.

Generally speaking, people in bigger games do a pretty good job of calling clock when needed facing long tanks on later streets and understanding when it's warranted and when it's not. I've rarely seen clock called when it shouldn't have been,or vice versa.

I think most regs in bigger games would agree that nobody is too upset if someone takes their time facing a large bet or facing a river decision... It's the unwarranted tanking that is really annoying - or the same player doing it over and over, or 20 seconds wasted preflop repeatedly by the same player.

Does anyone know what’s going on with the one side of elevators that’s out of service? Seems like they have been down for a month.

Can't let it get to you. There's been a husband-and-wife (1/3 & 2/5 regs know who they are) who have been sitting next to each other for years (first Charlestown-then Live-now MGM) and they, too, NEVER play back at each other. I believe about a year ago, one of the floor forced them to break to different tables; they were very upset and left the casino. Weren't gone long, and they are still almost always playing at the same table, side-by-side if possible, and never play back at each other. Gotta just let it go.

There are many poker friends who never play back at each other as well. As long as they're not signaling and betting people out of pots, I don't see why it matters. Hell, if they're fishy, I'd love to have them as a package deal at my table.

It seems reasonable to let them play as long as they play at separate tables.

My brother is a fun guy to play and much more LAG than me. He livens up any table and people love playing with him. We often play at the same table if we're both there at the same time (MGM and Charles Town). We're very open about the fact that we're brothers and if anyone complained, I'd gladly move to another table. No collusion, and we even enjoy trying to bluff each other now and then, though I'll admit to just letting him off the hook when heads up and I have the nuts. Mom wouldn't like it if I took his stack.

There is a couple that plays 1-2-5 and 5-5-5 together if you know who I am talking about. It used to bother me but not anymore despite the fact they never play back at each other. Lately, however, I see them at different tables.

Again,
If anyone suspects collusion form 2 players that constantly sit together, PM me. I need Day, time, table, and seat numbers. I will investigate.

Johnny, what’s the status on time raked games being able to run two full boards if two players are all in preflop?

I played the 1-2 PLO game for the first 6-8 months or so that the room was first open and there was a couple that always played together. Not sure if thats the same couple you guys are talking about or not. They usually sat next to each other if they could. But they were always polite, extremely friendly to the other players at the table and they played fast/ready when it was their turn to act - and frankly these things are more than you could say for a lot of other players. So honestly, all things considered, it never bothered me.

It appears that one side of the elevator doesn’t go up to L2 consistently. I see both sides work on the casino floor going down.

Thought we could request half take when game becomes 6 handed or less. Right now we have 3 walking and 1 open seat. Dealer says no reduced rake with an open seat...

Is that right?

Johnny,

A little bird told me that satellites for Borgata (and Bellagio?) would begin in October - Fridays and Saturdays, I presume.

Is this accurate? If so can you elaborate?

Gracias
