There will be a prominent sign posted at the cage that reads “the final table for event 1 will be in Monday August 6. Please consider this prior to registering for the event.”

I think most of the contradictory info comes from the website. We are working on converting to a poker blog style site for our room, which will allow me to either control the content myself, or designate someone to do it. This aspect of our room has been deficient, and will be fixed within 4-6 weeks.
When will Bravo be updated with August's tournament and promo information, instead of July's?

Visited the new room for the first time yesterday. Was very impressed.

Clean, well-lit, comfortable. Dealers were professional and efficient. Floor was friendly, quick, and everywhere. Empty seats were filled within 10 minutes. Cocktail servers circulated regularly. A tablemate requested a food server and had one within 15 minutes, in sharp contrast with the downstairs experience. I did not try the nearby snack bar but it's great to have that option so close.

Just 2 minor quibbles, maybe both beyond Johnny's control. As others have noted, 4 urinals + 2 stalls will eventually cause problems during tournament breaks or when a sports book opens, as we all expect it will within a year or two. And when buying chips at the cage, there were 5 employees behind the counter, one actually helping customers and the other 4 doing apparently more important things while occasionally glancing nonchalantly at the growing line of waiting patrons; a bit frustrating.

Kudos to you and your staff, Johnny. All of us can always get better at our jobs, but from your presence and comments here it's clear you love what you do and take pride in it. I hope your well of patience doesn't run dry for what must sometimes seem like an endless series of complaints and requests from this board.

Thank you for the kind (and candid) worlds... we will be looking at a solution for restrooms upstairs at some point. We are also working out some issues with the cage. I just want to provide a comfortable experience for the players.

Solid bait and switch scheduling the FT of event 1 for Monday instead of Sunday but putting August 3-5 on all the marketing

MGM NH not going to get a dime in rake from me for a long time, too bad I'm already going to be out gas money and 2 hours of my life sitting in traffic by the time I get home

Did you not look at the structure sheet?

I'm a rec player at tournaments so I could hardly give a damn about the structure

I guess I just saw all the flyers and websites that said August 3-5 and wanted to believe a little too hard that there was an event you could play in with a day job

something I noticed about this event 1. Top 12% of each flight gets paid, top 8% move to day 2. I think this is an amazing idea. Having the bubble be surviving to day 2 (wasnt quite how event 1 went last time but whatever) made day 1 kinda drag ass at the end of the day, and caused early day 2 to be a complete shovefest because there were so many shorties. It also must feel bad to get to day 2 like 4 BBs deep, shove first hand, go home, especially since a small # of say 2 players didnt get paid last time.

This time, bubble bursts day 1, post bubble shovefest happens day 1, then day 2. Should mean a lot fewer shorties showing up to day 2. Seems like a really smart idea. Im hoping I make it far enough along to see it in action.

Sorry you went through that. When we realized the schedule had bad info, we made changes. We also posted at the cage to make sure players were aware, as opposed to registering and finding out after.

Sorry to hear that you won’t be playing here. If you ever decide to come back, ask for me. I will comp you double the cost of your class.

The tournament clock is not broken we made a judgement call on the dinner break depending on the number of players left at 7:30 we bag tonight when 8% of the field is reached.

Johnny,
There was a ruling that shocked me. At a 1/3 game with a 6.00 straddle a player tossed out two chips, a green and a white. Dealer and floor said it is a room rule where that is only a call. How is this possible with two chips being thrown in where one of the chips covers the bet?

Yeah this was pretty shocking. Would love to know how the casino decided this insane price point. It's not even like they charge a dollar or two; they went straight to beer prices.

Don't know that Johnny has any control over aspects like this, but a $7 soda is in marked contrast to the next poker room up the road, which apparently now has a free soda fountain for players. Also, hoping the (free) coffee station will be opening soon.

The half rake on the 2/5 game is sometimes 5 people and sometimes 6 people. I’ve heard it’s supposed to be 6 but some dealers won’t do it unless there are 5 people on the table. Can we get a confirmation on when half rake is for 2/5?

Assuming player was SB, thats the correct ruling. BB it depends, non blinds its incorrect.

There must be a detail that has been omitted or some key factor. Absent any other details, this in not correct.

OP Said player threw out 2 chips... not that they had a chip in the pot and then threw one chip in addition.

99% of the time we have a floor call that was “obviously wrong” there is a crucial detail omitted. That’s why I am never going to say “we screwed iit up” until I get the whole story.

OP, please PM me the name of the supervisor and I will investigate.
