I mean, i still support the MS straddle, its more a thought experiment mroe than anything, but it does mean under the current rules, walking is EV+ to your blinds.

Is it really that hard to figure out on your first visit, and then boom! You know the room layout. Is this really a problem?

Is event #1 in next weekend’s PPO (the $300K guarantee) a 2-day event finishing on Sunday, or a 3-day event finishing on Monday?

The series schedule lists it as running Aug. 3-5 (Fri-Sun), but point #6 on the structure sheet for that event lists different level lengths for days 1, 2, and 3. If Friday and Saturday are nothing but day 1 flights, that would make Sunday day 2, so it’s a little unclear. Thanks in advance for the clarification.

This, pretty sure taking a day off for the final table, with most likely 7kish guaranteed and 65-70k up top, is not that big of an ask...

Johnny G- What are the rules for the dinner list (time-raked games) in regards to must-move priority? I was playing the other night and a player used the dinner list, and upon his return from dinner was treated as a new player on the must-move list. Is this the room policy?

Survived some NL in to 4/8. Nice room. Temp is slightly on the cool side but tolerable with a thermal tee or similar.

Might have a case with the carpet vendor. Seems
To be getting chewed up at a rapid pace.

Nice having everything all in one place. Quiet today so bathroom not an issue.

I’m 53 and youngest at table. A tricky spot here and there but eminently readable.

It's just not feasible for a lot of people to take a Monday off at the last minute. Some of us may have to find someone to fill in last minute, some may be able to "call in sick" but would be risking their jobs if their boss found out that they were playing poker and not actually sick, those in the military need to have leave pre-approved in advance, etc. People will good jobs aren't going to risk them for a 5-figure tournament cash. Holding a final table on a non-holiday Monday simply makes it such that a fair number of people will be completely unable to play in the tournament.

Well every 3-day tournament is not 9-5 friendly, because either a Friday or Monday is going to be taken up.

It's great that Johnny puts out the schedule in advance so that you can avoid playing those tournaments if your job is that inflexible.

The 9-5ers didnt offer a solution, just gave feedback that the tourney isnt friendly to them, and that “take a sick day” isnt a realistic solution. I would guess the casino would want feedback for a reason they are losing potential customers.

The potential solutions i see (with related drawbacks) is the final table could start at 6 (and thus end later and possibly cause them to lose customers who dont want to stay up late). Or day 2 could play to a winner (possibly requiring a faster structure and losing potential customers who dont like the structure).

Yeah the only solution is to plan ahead. I am taking a couple vacation days for PPO. Having a final table on a holiday would be absolute mayhem.

I’m pretty sure you don’t quite know what “mayhem” means.

Uh...sheesh. The structures and days are not a secrets. DO NOT play a tourney if you already know you can’t make the final table, if you are so fortunate to get that far. Better yet play and that knowledge will likely affect your play so you bust anyway.

Most will make arrangements and if you think a 5 figure score for 2-3 days worth of poker ‘work’ isn’t worth it for one day of annual leave in this town....you don’t know this town.

Said the guy who takes annual leave to play on weekdays because playing for 100s and 1000s of dollars is much less stressful and more fun that working a lot of the time.

This.

It's a 3-day tournament. Either the final day or the starting flights will be on a weekday. The only solution is the make the structure faster/worse so that it ends Sunday, but I don't think anyone wants that.

Carpet is imported Wool. It sheds for the first 3-4 weeks(same at it did at opening. They will be cleaning/raking the carpet the next 2 days to address the shedding.

Sorry to bump this, but the above clarification was my real reason for posting previously.

Now that we're closer to the tournament, I figure I should ask this again.

The structure posted online is not correct. Not sure how or why this keeps happening. In any case, the event starts at 75/150, and does have a 2500-5K level.

Please look on the MGMNH twitter feed and I will post a copy of the main event structure sheet.
