Cakes Classic Tournament

Is anyone planning on playing this event on Wed Feb 7? I sometimes play the $200 double green chip bounty on Wednesday nights.

The usual $200 Wed tourney has $25 juice (being generous and excluding the $3 guarantee withholding) for 12.5%.

This special tournament has a $300 buy-in vice the $200 and has a $300 bounty on the celebrity in addition to the $50 on everyone else. The juice is $50 for 16.7%.

It seems strange to me that the higher buy-in event has a higher juice in proportion to the buy-in. Usually the higher the buy-in, the lower the juice percentage-wise.

Who’s the celebrity?

Johnny, any truth to the rumor that one Sunday each month will still be a 50k guarantee? That would be awesome (but preferably two Sundays per month would be 50k).

I've played $1/3nl here a handful of times. Every game is mostly what you'd expect; clueless rec players there to have fun plus one or two grinders who play solid poker. The difference between the $1/3 and $2/5 player pools is pretty significant.

haha man everyone is useless. The 1/3 game here is the best ive ever seen. Come play, have fun, enjoy playing a 3 way all in pot vs like K9 and 66.

Yeah, the 1-3 is probably one of the best you can find nowadays. One of the biggest upsides of the room is the amount of tables that will be running (1:15 am and there are still 11 games of 1-3), so if you have a table full of nitregs, you can certainly find a better one.

I am not from the area, played last year for three or four nights and again the past two nights while in town for work. It is a very good 1-3 game. LOL, one guy at my table on Tuesday night said "if you bet, they will call." So true. It is an awesome game. Variance can be high though, but that is all right.

Seems more reasonable that its the first. Or I'll just say that I pray to god its not the latter unless they are drastically improving the drink service.

I believe the 30-60 was HOE and Badugi and 2-7 triple draw. It's a new game that is scheduled for every Friday around 4:00.

Not sure about the 100-200.
