The casino on thursday had a sewage smell. Pretty rough to deal with that and play cards.
Last Saturday as well.

The sewage smell has been a problem for well over a week now. Floor 1 in the garage is bad every day. The poker room has been awful a few times. Last Saturday I literally left, along with a few others, because the smell was unbearable.

Not sure there’s much the casino can do about the sewage plant. Seal the doors better I guess?

I didn't think this is coming from the plant but I guess that is a possibility. When it's been bad it smells like a leak inside the building. And it just started somewhat recently. If it were the plant it would have likely been an issue since opening.

It was an issue in the summer. But they have been doing some kind of work on the first floor of the garage this week so who knows

There is a "team poker" tourney that started at 10 AM that i didnt see advertised. How does that work? Also i feel like double booking tourneys is a recipe for missing guarantees.

I played a 2/5 game today late night and people kept walking around - sitting out - and not playing there blinds. Table wasn't ideal - but good lord. 3 regs were just walking around and we were constantly 5 - 7 handed. Floor didn't do much to rectify the situation and it was really annoying. I like playing short handed but these people would just come and play an orbit and walk around for 20 minutes and come back and play another orbit. It made some of the fish at the table uneasy - and they were single handedly killing the game. I feel like players like this should get some sort of time out if they pull this crap. It's ridiculous. You couldn't even go to the bathroom with out being 3rd man walking. Even the dealers were saying something. This was about 3am and there was no wait but at least get them out of the game so it doesn't cause so much confusion.

The Bento sushi place is terrible. I love sushi and eat it all the time - but the sushi in the food court is hands down awful. I have gotten it 4 times - and only 1 time was it semi decent. Also the staff is clueless - they served me it one time on a warm plate. I said this plate is warm - and she said - ya it just came out of the dish washer. Totally unacceptable for how much they charge.

On the positives - they cage is doing a very good job.
In two consecutive cash outs, if I had not already counted my stacks, the cashiers would have underpaid me by significant amounts.

I had the same experience my last time there. The cashier announced her count and the actual count was 50% higher. When I corrected her, she just recounted and got the number I already had.

Management should have random unknowns (to the cashiers) cash out with each cashier daily, coach them when there are errors, and fire them after a certain number of errors.

Casinos are financial institutions, like banks, and banks had better have tellers who can accurately count. Casino chips are no more difficult to count than cash.

Good to know, I haven't actually tried their sushi yet. The unagi bowl has been good each of the three times I've gotten it.

never had the unagi bowl - but I eat a lot of sushi places.

I got the salmon avocado roll and the tuna roll. Won't be going back after the warm plate incident. It kind of ruined the dish.

Yea, I too was shorted at the window on Friday night around midnight. Luckily I had counted which I don't normally pay too much attention too. The lady swore up and down I was wrong and she "recounted" her drawer twice and claimed it was right. And had someone else count it with her. Well I knew what I had and we got a supervisor who then got the cameras checked. The cashier was proven wrong and I was correct.

So idk what they pull behind the scenes but the cashier counted her drawer twice and held me up for 30 mins only to still be wrong.

I haven't had any issues with the cage and they've been on point I just found it odd how the situation played out.

Always count your chips before going to the window, no matter which poker room you are in.

Hey Johnny,

I really liked the structure of the $365 50k event #12 that ran this past Sunday. I'd love to see that structure in use for the weekly 50k that runs on Sundays. Is that within the realm of possibility?

Thanks

At least half of the soap dispensers and dryers are broken in the floor-level bathrooms. It's really annoying. Yesterday, I literally had to try five different sinks before I got a soap dispenser that worked.

Johnny, please alert facilities management to this issue.

Honestly I would rather Johnny focus on maintaining his excellent poker room than worry about the soap dispensers in the bathroom.

Someone with Johnny's experience should be able to do both.

Someone (bathroom attendant) should be responsible for checking the soap dispensers, along with everything else in the bathrooms, And they should have plenty of supplies on hand to restock and/or replace them.

This is not a new concept.

I constantly see janitors working / cleaning in and around the bathrooms every single time I visit the casino. I very seriously doubt they are unaware that there are many things with the sinks broken. I don't know if the casino doesn't care at this point, or has not decided on a solution but this has been a problem since day one with the sink designs that they chose. They are quite terrible, but unfortunately used in every single public bathroom on the property.

Personally, I would like people to be able to wash their hands since flu season is upon us.

I emailed MGMNH Guest Services these two quotes, and I received this response:
