Thanks Johnny, appreciate the response, I can understand that would get annoying. For whatever reason the PLO games still have issues filling seats when there's a list. Last week it happened again where we'd have 2 empty seats and a long list and 15-20 minutes later we'd realize there still wasn't any movement in getting the seats filled.

One player seems to really like going up to the back podium to prod things along but IMO that shouldn't need to happen - as nice as that player is.

Personally I dont mind playing short/er but unfortunately most players seem not to want to.

Yeah, I was playing 5/5 on Sunday and there was two absent players and two open seats for 30+min. This isn't that big of a deal most the time but it could have broken the game and the players that still wanted to play would have been on a decent wait. I contacted the floor and they seemed totally unaware. Idk what the protocols are but it seems like he should know what the situation is.

One specifically told us they were just written up for shouting "seat open" and that they would not be attempting to notify the floor of the open seat for fear of being written up again. I also overheard a floor telling a dealer some new "rules" and one of them specifically was to just update the bravo and not to shout out "seat open" anymore.

Sounds like this is something the floors are annoyed with and not something in the best interest of the players. I understand maybe limiting the request to only shouting once - and only when the floors are a reasonable enough distance away so the request is not at an alarming volume - but to ban dealers from notifying the floor of open seats entirely is rather absurd.

I wont comment on any specific discipline for any employee, other than to say that no dealer has ever received any type of formal discipline for shouting "seat open" across the room.

Similar experiences.

And I've definitely been in games that have broken because of this - very frustrating. Combine 2-3 empty seats with a couple of walkers and guys who dont want to play short. It happens and is very frustrating.

Honestly I dont know how Bravo works logistically, does it light something up on the little screen with all the colored tables on it? Because it seems like that would require very attentive floors that are watching the screen.

How's the temperature situation been in the Poker room this summer? Still getting pretty hot?

I've been very comfortable in the room for the past couple months. I'm always cold though and find every other casino to be obnoxiously freezing so normal people may be a little warm. It can get warm by the giant TV's but it has not been problematically hot.

I think we went @ 9 hours tonight and saw one food runner - once. One dealer said it was so bad that they dont even bother calling them sometimes...nice. She then tried to tell some story about how the food runners all need gaming licenses so its been impossible to hire them. I would ordinarily say that sounds crazy but who knows, I've heard crazier from the dealers lol.

Again it was tough getting seats filled on the PLO games with a list and empty seats. The dealers who dont want to yell out that they have empty seats - which seems to be a sort-of-rule - now they just yell for the floor instead and tell them how many seats they have. Either way it didnt work.

And I know this is out of JGs purview but a few of us agreed they must have put new slots in the back near table 30 because its louder now than we can remember.

Hello... I would like to recommend that there be a red "All In" and maybe a "Call" button added to the poker tables so there are not any discrepancies...

apparently the +20% for Gold is already factored in for VP?

ie: $35 coin-in = 1 point

if you're at the lowest tier level, then it's $42 coin-in = 1 point?
($42/1.2 = $35)

Will be taking a trip down to visit my brother sometimes in the next few months and might blow off some steam at MGM.

Can somebody fill me in on the MS/HS limit/mix games that run?

I see on Bravo what looks to be 10-25 big bet mix, but I've heard this mix includes limit games as well. I've also heard the 60/120+ LHE action has mostly moved from MD Live to MGM and wondering if that's accurate?

Finally, can the draw hybrids/super stud 8/big O/Archie and other oddball games be dealt?

thx

We have a 60/120 Limit Holdem game that runs every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. Players will also play between 20/40 and 100/200 mixed games. The mix usually involves draw games and badugi.

Most variants can be played, with the exception of super stud and Archie.

This is still somewhat of a mystery to me. I don't think their is any tier credit bonus based on status; just a 20% bonus on express comps earned.

The point / tier credit situation at NH still infuriates me. The 100 hand VP machine is clearly giving 1 point per $20/coin in. The single hand VP machines are $30+ coin in per point. In every Vegas property it is a point per $10/coin in. What's more, and compounding the situation, each point is worth a mere fraction of a tier credit as opposed to Vegas. The bottom line is that local players must put about 8x the coin in to get the same amount of tier credits as a Vegas player.

IN other news . . . I see the Borgata board taking about tier credits for poker hours. Are we still getting nothing (tier credits) at NH for poker?

ETA - also infuriating - the fact that a 12 ounce bud light at the poker bar is $8. This makes it more expensive than a beer at, say, Camden Yards, which is $8 for a 16 ounce bud light. I really like the casino . . . but every trip its the small stuff like this that leaves a bad taste . . .

Yeah... I totally agree with u. And that would suck if they aren't giving tier credit per hour. Even the HB is giving 17 or 20 credits per hour. At least with TOtal rewards u can grow if you only play Poker.

The really good news of the day is that the Shake Shack app was finally released for Android.

[rumor]

2nd good news of the day was hearing from a friend at MGM that there will be @ 56 tables in the new room. I think last time I was told I wasn't even close when said person confirmed that the initial room would be "about 40" tables. So...who knows. But I think people will not be as distressed with the alleged new location as initially thought.

If room moves to a new location, build a bar like the one MD live has and equip it with more and better snacks. It's one my favorite features of that room.

I thought poker comps were separate from Mlife here. So your tier/express aren't going to update, nor can you view the poker comps online.
