Yep, I would help you out a lot if you were gone less than 10 minutes to the johnny or to get a drink. Dinner or gone for a while, yeah, not so much.

I'm curious how much was the dealer tip from the winning hand, losing hand and rest of the table.

Saw from Twitter that the Winning hand gave the dealer $1k. Not sure about the rest

They should definitely think about hiring some more dealers.

Their website says they're hiring poker dealers - part-time poker dealers.

Maybe they'd have better luck in staffing if they offered some full-time positions as opposed to bringing in people who will get a ton of hours now, but without any guarantee of that down the road and no health insurance or other benefits.

This is a problem at a lot of rooms, not just MGM National Harbor but it is exacerbated there because the cost of living is so much higher than at other areas. If six months from now a dealer is stuck with two shifts a week and no opportunity for more or to advance, what are they supposed to do?

LOL I saw the number get up to 110 and decided not to drive over.

Also saw Saturday they got a PLO/NLH mix game list going, think the list got to 13 or 14 but after 5 hours or so, no movement, not sure if that game ever got going.

Made me wonder, honest question, but why do they even bother taking lists like this when all the tables are full and you have 80+ on the 1/3 and 2/5 waiting lists. On the off chance that ten hours later there might be some of those folks still around that want to play?

Are all poker dealers part time employees? On that site they list table games dealer openings full time and part time so I wondered if some poker dealer positions were the same.

Since poker dealers generate far less income for the casino than table games dealers I wouldn’t be surprised if they were all part time so MGM could avoid paying them benefits.

I think they will need to either go back to 9 handed or find a way to expand the room. 37 tables isn’t enough for the demand on the weekends.

Assuming the room is already full, it benefits the casino to have people waiting to play poker instead of actually playing poker.

Flop it promo is back for august with double the prize for flopping a royal ($50k). Might be a list 100 long by 7am lol. Bring your cots to the casino folks

pretty sure they have both part-time and full-time poker dealers, but most are prob part-time and MGM is juggling them to avoid having them work too much and be classified as full-time (requiring benefits)...

This Saturday night/ Sunday AM MGM froze the lists because they did not have enough grave dealers and their swing dealers were about to leave...this led to tables breaking (the point) even though the demand was clear for more games...how much are benefits a year 18-20k three extra full time dealers keep an extra table open for 150 hours a month then the cost is paid back within 3 months...

The cage situation is getting ridiculous:

10:15/11:15 and around 12:15 are peak times for Tournament entries.

The cage will have only one person during this time. In addition to the cash players getting chips/cashing out and tournament players entering/re-entry the line gets huge.

In addition the chip runners come with these ridiculous chip denomination requests and cut to the front of the line.

I think the solution would be:
1. To let the floor that manages the tournament should accept the tournament entries or reentries.
2. Have a chip cart at the front and do the chip runner transaction through them.
3. Have more staff for the first three hours of tournaments.

Sadly nothing surprising about the cage issues. I’ve also seen cage employees seemingly doing nothing in back but not open another window. Frustrating for sure

On Twitter I asked them if they would just consider having more dealers on early in the day during the Flop It days since they *know* they are going to get full/packed houses early in the day.

LOL, FOH with this nonsense, what kind of hypersensitive 12 year old do they have running their Twitter account? Oh damn, I guess I cant see their overagressive meme use anymore.
