Manager claimed there were no smoothie signs up so I shouldn't have been surprised. And, after buying something more expensive - did they make up the difference? no. - I see there's a smoothie sign up anyway. What garbage service.
I've had absolutely awful service now two meals in a row at MGM and - like you - just absolute BS attitude from the staff.
I was meeting a buddy at TAP and I got there early, maybe 4:50. There's a big sign out front that says THIS OUTLET CURRENTLY CLOSED. I said oh OK, I'm early no big deal. I went and stood against the wall, just screwing around on my phone. It gets a few minutes past 5 - not open. After 10 minutes or so, I realize...there are people going in but this door never opened, oh wait, there is a casino entrance. I had no idea, never paid one bit of attention to it.
So now I wait in line to get in to the casino and wait in line at the check in desk. I mention something to the manager, quietly, off to the side, I made zero deal out of it. I said hey, here's what happened, might be useful to have a sign that says "Enter through the casino" in addition to the giant CLOSED sign - something like that. He turns to me and snaps "Looks like you found your way in without a sign just fine" - and he walks away.
Maybe MGM had an issue hiring staff back, maybe they dont have enough staff - maybe all the good ones got better jobs. But GD their customer service has taken a nosedive.
