pro tip- if you want variety, get three orders of '2 for $9' ($27) instead of two orders of '3 for $13' ($26).
ie: 2 steak, 2 fish, and 2 pork

(3 steak tacos really didnt fill me up and i only weigh 150lbs)

Since Snacks closed, still looking for best bang for the buck...
(miss the bacon double burger or philly cheese steak <both with fries> for $14)

Are the poker comps still expiring after one year, or is there now a grace period?

They expire after 1 year, but we have added 4 months (March 15-July 12) to the expiration for any comps that would have expired.

Recently made the switch from Live to MGM. Been playing here a lot more frequently but I don't seem to be earning any comp or tier points.

I only know Live's comp structure and I was happy to be able to grab comped meals after saving for a few months on the poker tables.

Do you not earn comps from poker at MGM or is there a problem with my account?

You have to bring your card to the floor person and make a request for a specific amount and for the place you want to go eat. They then load the card with comp $ from your balance. You bring your card to the restaurant and give it to them plus your ID. The floor can also tell you how much you have left.

You don't get tier points for playing poker but, you do get $1.50 an hour in food comps. You need to get one of the floor staff to check and see how much comp money you have on your card.

Long time 2-5, 5-10 and higher reg since day 1 and I feel like I should add my input on a few things...
I donÂ’t think 2-5 section should be near 5-10...it only helps the bum hunters keep an eye on 5-10...or they poach the 5-10 game by telling the fish not to play. I know some 5-10 regs think itÂ’s a good idea but I think itÂ’s best to keep things the way they are. Why fix something thatÂ’s not broken. ItÂ’s not that far of a walk and the 5-10 players are good enough at gathering up players already. It will only aid the bum hunters and create more rail birds at 5-10.

Something I do not understand is why the weekend promos are better than weekday promos. The weekends are absurd, the list are insane, and seating is limited now. Why not lessen the weekend promo and up the promo when itÂ’s slower like week days or overnight and keep the room busy 24-7 and generate more income. That is the reason for a promo rake after all...to attract more business especially when itÂ’s slow.

I also heard one player maybe two complain about Mississippi straddle....itÂ’s absurd to complain when people want to volunteer to put money into the pot is all I have to say! Stick to 2-5 if you donÂ’t like a whale straddling $50 every hand at 5-10...stop trying to change stuff thatÂ’s totally fine but takes you out of your own comfort level.

Well anyways thanks for reading and hopefully I made some good points...I understand everybody has their own opinions.
I just feel like the opposite opinions should be voiced as well since I have not heard anyone voice what I have voiced. I felt the need to speak up.

+1 to allowing straddles anywhere. I don't mind letting the bumhunters come to the 5/10; they usually suck at poker and will get stacked by one of the regs before they can stack the whale anyway. Heehee!

Also, how did the meeting last Thursday go? Anyone care to update the rest of us who couldn't make it?

Bravo shows the Columbus Day tournament as 1/2 bb ante. Is that correct or a typo? Does the player in the BB post an ante of 1/2 bb?

Yeah you can't even describe them. Basically, if people can read your post and know who you're talking about, it's a privacy violation. Everyone is supposed to be anonymous, even 3rd parties.

Hopefully traffic will die down again now that the bbj has hit. Weekend waits have been too long lately.

Saw a post on Reddit about the BBJ hitting. Poster said the BBJ split was 40/20/40. Can someone confirm table share is 40% at MGMNH? Never seen table share anywhere near that high.

Poster said table was 7-handed, so that'd be ~22k each for the other 5 players?

First rule: never use the restroom when the BBJ is over 200K!

Word in the poker circles is that the badbeat player paid the person $10k. Still not bad for a day at 1/3
