Noticed this yesterday too. My thought/hope was that they decided to put small games in back room and save some tables in top section for big games. This seems like a good idea to me if so. /Most/ big games like to be specifically in top section...separation from heavy foot traffic, and chance to get some people dropping in while waiting for other big games.

Not sure why that cant be released when the schedule first comes out but when the schedule was released last week they said the day 2 dates for Event 1 wouldnt be released yet.

Still think $300+70 is brutal but it works best for my work schedule so it is what it is.
over 20 percent rake is pretty brutal but it's pretty much what the wsopc has been doing for years with it's 300+65 and this year going to 400 BI (330+70) so congrats MGM for raking more than the wsopc...also haven't looked but prob assume that the 3300 buy-in is 3k+300 which they could have just bumped it to 3.5k flat with 3.2+200 rake+100 staff fee, like their competitor to the North did with the WPT (Borgata has cheaper rake IIRC, but to be expected).

Would be nice if the 370 could be bumped to 400s since I don't think your demand would drop much if at all and the rake would be a tad more reasonable

On the positive side, props for adding an 8-game mix event!

Erase the rake for your Main Event entry.

Except they opened a T/25 game at the nut worst table in the lower section (shot clocks + maximum foot traffic by back podium/bathroom path + slot machine noise). Meanwhile two 1/3 games remained running in the back room and also in the top section.

I play 1/3 in the private room midday on Friday.. I didn't like it at all.. I guess it is just to quite and boring back there for me.

Likewise 3 weeks ago. Very quiet and the room was a mess. Not quite what I envisioned back there to be honest.

To expound on my comment above, as I think its not quite fair to mgm. The room was a mess because of poker players. Somehow players feel its okay to do things there that they would not do in their own home because they are spending money. Have some common courtesy towards other humans (players and employees alike), its not okay.

At the same time, who knows how long the mess was on the floor since it was created.

Big thanks for fixing the water fill station and for adding more stairs to the elevated area.

Think the Asian noodle place in the food court opens this weekend?
If anyone tries it would love to hear thoughts/opinions.
Please and thank you.

He was all in on the flop in a PLO game but neither the other player nor the dealer realized it as he was in the 1 seat and had his hands covering his chip area. So when the turn card came out he said "pot" and slammed down a white chip (which doesn't play) to try to get the other player to fold.

Just FYI if you order from the new Vietnamese place you need to ask for your money to be specifically loaded there. It isn't considered part of "The Market".

Careful about ordering food from the new Italian place. Ordered the ravioli last night and had some wicked food poisoning.

What is the “careful” way to order food from the new Italian place?

Any news yet on whether they have posted the dates of the Day 2s for these events?

Promos for tomorrow (Memorial Day Monday)?

I can’t find any info on bravo or mgms website. They are only listing promo info for June. Anyone know? I’m trying to decide where to play for my day off. Thanks!

Why are the floors opening fewer 2-5 tables than normal? I get that there was shortage of dealers, but it seems unreasonable to have a waiting time of more than an 90 minutes for 2-5 by decreasing the weekend 2-5 tables running from 9 to 5 while increasing 5 card tables. It is difficult to even go through a 15 players list if there are only 5 tables running let alone the longer weekend list.

Did anyone play in the 6/12 HORSE+2-7 game last Tuesday? Based on Bravo it looks like it went off. I'm planning to go today to play in it. It's rare to find a mixed game that is in a reasonable buy-in level and I want to support this one and help keep it going.
