Your examples are all places you spend a very limited amount of time in as a spectator, 2-3 hours tops. Some people stay 30 hours straight in a poker room with the average time being 4-6 hours. Different experience

It would be nice if they turned the water filling station back on. If we can no longer bring in drinks it would be nice to at least be able to fill empty cups and empty water bottles, especially the times when the cocktail waitresses are nowhere to be found.

Re: beverages . . . is this a poker room thing or a casino thing? Because I've never had an issue bringing a drink into the casino. Not sure how they would even enforce this. I walk in with coffee all the time - they sell at Starbucks and the pastry place outside the casino . . . I walk in with beer all the time -- to go beers from Tap . . . bottles from the mini bar in the room . . . I've walked in with sports drinks that I've bought from the shop across from Fish. MGM is FAR more hospitable in this regard that MDL!, Charles Town, Del Park . . . Not sure what the problem is that's caused like 3 pages of complaints.

the 24/7 news cycle wheel-of-biotches. Table Jumpers, then smoke smell, then promotion dollar budget, then wait-staff, and now water bottles. Don't worry next week it will be something else.

Sometimes the cycle lands on something super legit like table-jumpers and a great conversation is kicked off and very positive changes are implemented.

And sometimes the conversation is water bottles.

Just once again confirming that many poker regulars are amongst the most miserable people on earth.

3) leave the poker room entirely to try and find water somewhere in the casino.

I didn't think there was anything that could drive me away from your poker room, but this will do it. If I don't have easy access to water, I'll go elsewhere. This is ridiculous. Why are you intentionally making it difficult to drink water in your poker room? How is this an issue?
Or, (4) go to Snacks and ask for an iced water from their fountain. I've had no problems getting iced water there for several weeks at no cost. They often have them pre-prepared, so no wait either.

But don't ask the servers to bring you one with your food order. They will not, for unknown reasons (probably out of solidarity with the cocktail waitresses who are shorted a tip as a result).

If you buy the drinks on there property you are allowed to bring them in. If you bring a water bottle - like a hydro flask - you are not allowed to bring it in. I was bringing mine in for about 3 months before they said I could no longer bring it in.

I don't like the small water bottles - it's wasteful and only has 10oz of water. my hydro flask was a 40oz water that I would reuse every day. I can still bring it in empty and fill it at the water filling station, but that has been out of order for a while. Not sure if it's fixed yet. I guess they assume people are sneaking in alcohol?

Just because the water bottle discussion doesn't matter to YOU doesn't delegitimize the complaint. This matters far more to me than the table jumpers ever did.

The problem is this---for those of us sitting in the high-limit area, we wait for half an hour, forty five minutes, sometimes an hour for a single waitress to come to our section. If and when the waitress does show up, the waters are typically taken by the first two tables, leaving the remaining tables without water. Hopefully a waitress returns with water. Often nobody returns. Routinely now, somebody has to complain to the floor that there hasn't been water in the high limit area for a stupidly long period of time. The floors then have to find a waitress. Are you seeing how long this takes for water? And now we can't go to the bar anymore because it's $4 for a gulp of water.

If we are routinely waiting over half an hour for water, and we are, then you have a problem which should be extremely easy to fix.

Be. Minimally. Competent.

Absolutely shameful that this is even a discussion.

It would be great if someone who has the ability to fix these problems is reading these posts, and cares about doing the right thing.

But, until someone in this position acknowledges the feedback, and says that the solutions are coming, It seems that the problems will remain unresolved.

I am sleep deprived so I am more cranky than usual, but yesterday was the unmpteenth time in which I went to have my comps loaded at the podium only to go a restaurant and have the cashier tell me that she doesn't see any comps.

It's not the podium's fault. It's the system's fault. Your higher management wants to either trick us into believing that we are getting higher rewards than we actually do -there's a lot of transaction losses, because no one can calculate accurately how much they need - or because they want to engage in price discrimination.

I don't know if this fools most people, but it certainly doesn't fool me and it most certainly aggravates me to no end. I hate the ****ing process. We live in the era of chip cards, contactless cards and apple pay and you make us go to a podium to load our comps in advance waiting in lines, wasting your manpower's time doing tedious work, while also taking away from us the option to get something on a whim.

If your upper management likes this practice this much, I have an excellent idea for them. Why don't they have the podium print out a receipt in duplicate, one for the player, one for the casino and then have 2 separate stamps on them imprinted by two separate supervisors so that the integrity of the process can be assured? I mean if you want to add bureaucratic layers to make people's life difficult, why not go the full 9 yards?

And since you had the excellent idea of adding a kiosk on the floor - an idea which I genuinely applaud - but in which you don't allow us to use our comps on, because why should you forgo the opportunity of charging $3.7 for a mentos that sells for $1 in a supermarket- why stop there? Why don't you remove our ability to use our comps on anywhere else other than Snacks? You can then increase the nominal version of our comps to $5 so that you can claim the highest rewards in the industry and then go to Snacks and replace whatever subststandard meat they are using with soylent green. You can then sit back and sit back and see your margins go through the roof.

What is upper management doing about all of this? Do us players have to think of everything?

PS. FIX THE ****ING COMPS SYSTEM!

Not gonna lie...thought you all were overreacting with the water situation. Haven’t seen a waitress in 30 mins at table 33. I can’t think of a time I went to a casino that made it so hard to get water.

Johnny, I know if it were up to you things would be much better here. But you guys have such a good thing going here but much like Vegas, the constant nickel and diming is really ruining the vibe of the place.

Speaking of water... was playing last night. Bought two waters from the server and one had already been open. Notified the floor and he brought over a new one, but that's only half of my concern. Johnny, is MGM reusing the tiny water bottles? Are you recycling the used bottles? Why would I get an already-opened bottle?

Johnny,

For the PPO, can we have it so that you can play multiple day 1's and carry the best stack forward?

Also, when will the schedule be out?

Thanks,
Loony

In ~2015 MGM announced their Profit Growth Plan. Its very definition is just that. Thats why I dont bother bringing stuff like this up anymore. Chances are it is so far out of Johnnys hands that he doesnt want to waste his time coming on here and saying its out of his hands.

Same with the "self service comp system". This has been in the works and in the planning since literally the day the original room opened. If you havent seen it by now - you are never going to.

Would be nice but prolly not gonna happen. Also getting tier credits would be nice so when traveling to vegas and AC you have a gold card so you don't have to pay to park.
