Interesting.

From the tin foil hat department, I wonder if there is some underlying labor issue at play here.

Possible.... or maybe a lot of people hung over from New Years.... one is more likely than the other...

Has there been any progress on this (as well as tier credits) or is it dead for the time being?

There has been a small bit of progress. Hoping for good news in the coming weeks.

Being able to access my comps directly would be spectacular and possibly make MGMNH my most favorite place to play poker ever

I personally dont find it a big deal to get my comps transferred, but i would place a high value on getting tier credits for play, and presumably helping my offers in vegas and/or the borgata or other mgm properties.

Couldn’t agree more. I would gladly give up a dollar an hour for comps in exchange for tier credits.

I doubt that the layoffs include laying off dealers who are paid three dollars per hour by the casino.

You’re neglecting to consider the benefits package included.

MGM offers don't work on other properties. Gold at Borgata, have year round room offers at Borgata only, never received any complimentary room offers in Las Vegas or other cities. Gold does give me free parking, separate line at some restaurants at other properties. That's about it.

Unless National Harbor poker will be treated in a different and special way, you won't get any offers at other properties. As Gold, I don't get any perks at National Harbor. Same for a friend who's Platinum.

Not me... I like free food to much.

Having your comps cut in half.. Is not good, IMO.

A little late to the discussion here, but I also have had comps loaded to my card (at poker room) for Shake Shack, and on three separate occasions walked all the way down there to be told that my card has nothing on it.

As mentioned above, only choices then are pay cash out of pocket, or walk back to poker room, and then back to Shake Shack again.

When you get back to poker room, they never seem to know exactly what went wrong.

A little frustrating to say the least.

In the event you are not aware, you must specify that it’s for Shake Shack specifically. They lease space from us so the accounting is a little different. We still do make mistakes, but a lot of the time that’s the issue.

Despite the ridiculously slow cocktail servers over the last few weekends, the room continues to impress me. I saw a seat jumper pulled right off my table, I appreciate the effort to control that situation.

Furthermore it causes undue stress on your dealers because they have to enforce a rule no one likes or risk getting in trouble with the floor.

Multiple times I've been at a table that was having fun and the game was good and enforcement of this rule has been a downer.

My proposed solution would be to officially, but without making any public announcement, exclude 2/5 and up from the rule.

Love playing MGM and I hope if anyone agrees with me about this rule they will speak up!
I had this come up at a 1/3 table last weekend. I was really surprised since the other dealers that night didn't enforce this rule at my tables. I'm okay either way, I just want consistency.

Can two players talk during a hand if:

- Heads-up
- No exposing cards
- Talk is okay if it's not offensive in any way

I'm headed back up this weekend and I'd like to make sure I'm following the rules.
