Suppose I want to play 5/10+ NL. How often do the other rooms in the area run 5/10+ NL? I gather you're from here and already know the answer to this question.
As far as I can tell, you're suggesting that the 5/10+ pool bands together and moves to a different casino (one which would be much farther away for me and for everybody else who moved to MGM to play the bigger games), start a high stakes home game, and/or make a formal complaint to local health/environmental officials.
The third suggestion makes sense, though with nothing close to a guarantee that anything will actually be done. Certainly nothing would be done in anything resembling a timely fashion. The first two suggestions are a bit at odds with reality, and I think you know better.
The fumes were so bad Thursday afternoon that they forced the games to move---this was before Voltaggio even opened. This would seem to indicate that things are getting worse. This should be noted.
Isn't it to everybody's benefit to identify the problem and fix it as quickly as possible? Wouldn't Johnny want the games to stay? Does he or you really want a formal complaint lodged with local environmental/health officials?
Because you're right---if this problem isn't fixed I (and others) will play far less or not at all. It's not a question of wanting to play, it's a question of physically being able to play.
