Carne asada tacos. Two for $9, you get a ton of steak, and they're actually really really good.

Is there a way to view poker comps/poker hr's without talking to a supervisor?

Some minor tournament quibbles:

1. Please update the players remaining count more frequently, at least once per level once the mid stage has been reached.

2. Train dealers that all cards must be tabled when it's all in and a call and no more action. I have seen this mistake multiple times.

Having heard all of the accolades about Shake Shack on this forum, I gave it a try yesterday with my family. The burgers were good but not great like those at Five Guys. And their frozen crinkle cut fries can't compare to the fresh fries cooked in peanut oil at Five Guys. Heck, even the giant double cheeseburger at Denny's and the humongous colossal burger at Ruby Tuesday are better.

I did not say that the Shake Shack burgers were not good. It's just that all the others are so much better. LOL

If you want to compare 5G to SS, fine I guess, I think they are both really good.

But the idea that SS is behind Ruby Tuesday or *Dennys* is lol.

Ok Johnny, gotta ask. Does Mickey Craft have some kind of affiliation with the room? He's been wearing an MGM NH branded fleece every day at the Main.

He does not. But I am happy to hear that he's wearing it...

johnny,

suggestion for the new upstairs room:
add a 2nd (or even a 3rd) waitlist screen at the brush.

pretty much this. Even if you prefer their burgers over other places, SS fries are overpriced and taste like trash. I think their burger is fine, and its not particularly large and costs a lot. Considering im not buying their gross fries, i typically find their double burger is simply not enough food.

On top of this, Im not buying a soda where i have to harass their employees for a refill, but if i want ice with my water, i gotta harass them for ice, and then refill my thimble full of water every 5 minutes.

Comparing just burger flavor, which id consider SS's only strong suit, I much prefer 5 guys, and also slightly prefer wendys/in n out.

Also ever since shake shack partnered with mast bros a few years back, i cant help but (unfairly) lump SS in with mast bros as overpriced hipster faux artisinal food for gullible suckers.

I had Shake Shack this weekend. I paid with comps, but I had to wait in line to get comps put on my card, wait in line to order, and then wait some more for the food. Does anyone know if there's a way to use the app to order AND use comps to pay? Or is it an either/or proposition?

As for the quality of the food, I had the smoke shack and the cheese fries. The burger was good. The fries were OK. Paying just under $12 in comps for a burger and fries in a casino is fine by me.

Pretty sure you're on point with either/or.

IIRC Shake Shack started to convert their fries to fresh cut potatoes similar to 5 guys and people revolted. I am personally a fan of the crinkle cut myself, but I do have to say nothing is better than 5 guys cajun fries. Sorry, don't want this to become a 5 guys vs Shake Shack thread.

I played several years when I lived on the Gulf Coast at Beau Rivage where Johnny used to run the poker show. I can say that the soon to be announced series will be very well run with excellent structures if they are anything like what the BR used to put on.

Random questions:

If I want a table change, considering the one hour rule here, is it preferred to ask the dealer, or go directly to the front desk, or what?

Is there a drinking fountain around the room? I'm more middle age water than old man coffee. I saw some drinking fountains that were set up to refill bottles outside the casino, near the shops, but am not sure if there is one near the poker room.

Thx.
