For the tables in question, we have a list of "day 2" projects that will be implemented. A larger podium up front with additional computer, etc, spacing those tables out, etc. We are actively pursuing those solutions now...

You continue to impress with your responsiveness to player suggestions. Thanks Johnny.

Had a strange conversation at our table tonight. Someone mentioned how long the elevator wait was tonight and I said that I'd been taking the stairs - the ones that come out in the hall near Tap. Both of them said they had stopped because they were "pretty sure" there were no cameras in the stairwell. This sounded absurd to me so I checked on my way out tonight. The stairwell ceilings are pretty low - and dark when the lights didnt turn on - maybe 8-9' ceilings, brand new. So its not like they are 30' ceilings and you might miss something. There definitely dont seem to be the standard bubble pan/tilt cameras.

Still sounds insane, anyone taking those stairs up and down?

Otherwise, fun night. Seemed like a good crowd in there for the games. Had one PLO dealer deal 5 cards a few times but otherwise the dealers were great.

First time playing in about a month. Wow, it's gotten better. Wait was reasonable, dealers we're strong, floor did their job, no line at cage, and food/drink was way faster! Good work groom's!

I was thinking on swinging by tomorrow, how crazy do we think the tourney is make it?

Not sure where the discussion landed in regards to dealers announcing the bet sizes but I am very much in favor of them doing it. It was kind of random as to whether or not they did it when I played this weekend, but whenever a dealer announced the bet it saved time (from people tanking then inevitably asking the amount anyway) and removed a lot of ambiguity + me squinting to make sure I was counting the right amount. It seemed like most of the dealers that stated the bet amounts were former Live employees where they did it automatically. I hope that the dealers are not actively being discouraged from doing this.

OMG they're starting tournaments tomorrow? Hope they plan on going full spread by noon. Every new room in the area seems to miss that federal holidays are huge poker days around here.

I don't see any signal bell back there. I asked the guy who opened my box for me and he had no idea what I was talking about.

Wow today, MLK day, was decided to be the first day to start tournaments with hundreds on the list? Empty cash game tables and understaffed too.

lol I opened Bravo before to see if I wanted to drive over. When I saw 24 tables I thought hey maybe there's no list... then saw 194 names!

are the tournaments being held in another room in the casino?

I'll never understand this. I was going to go over, saw the lists on Bravo and said no thanks. Sheesh.

What exactly were you expecting!? If you couldn't see this coming, you're delusional. And why would you bother going without checking Bravo?

He's expecting that MLK day not be the first day to start tournaments. Especially if there are empty cash game tables and if they are understaffed. But you knew that.

If that's really the case, he hasn't been paying attention to this thread or to how other rooms in the area handle federal holidays. But you knew that.

We based staffing on New Year's Day numbers.... this is actually busier than NYD. We upped staffing by 30% and still were short.... Live and learn.

If you're saying it's beyond futile to expect poker rooms to fully be staffed on federal holidays, even though other rooms in the area grossly mishandle these days and is on top of the list of complaints for most who want to play on their day off, then you are correct. This is the place to display these kinds of complaints in the off chance it can be corrected?

FWIW, no other room in the area is anywhere close to full spread... so it's a little different here at MGM NH apparently...

Is there anything positive about our room?

@punkass, this was my point.

Of course I'm right. But it's still pretty lame to make the same complaints over and over and pretend that something is going to change. Maybe I'm making the same mistake though by attempting to give Havax some self-awareness.

Cashier line, both in poker room and main cage was also a mess today. I didn't even bother cashing out.

This is where I disagree. Staffing on holidays seems like something that can be controlled and should be changed.

Johnny,

The room is much much better than ML and now enthusiastically gets all of my play. I could pick some nits but all in all it is a solid room.
