Anyone who would argue against the above setup is probably a chronic walker.
This has been part of my point from the beginning about MDL. They - floor, mgmt, dealers, everyone - did a terrible job from the beginning of enforcing the rules. So it is generally chaos there now at busy times. Some dealers will enforce the rules, some wont. Maybe they are friendly with some of the regs - so those players will get away with a lot. Its mindnumbing. Whatever the rules are - I probably dont care too much - but ffs be as consistent as possible.
FWIW I've never seen a casino worse at filling empty seats than MDL. Played a couple months back on a Saturday with the 1/3 and 2/5 lists both in the 80s - but our table played 7 handed for almost 20 minutes. I like playing short so it was fine but eventually some of the newer players said hey, we dont want to play *this* short.
I dont know whatever their rules are - see above on applying rules consistently - but whatever they are doing is not working at busy times.
