Playing in the Satellite this weekend for the 575. I played in the 330 rebuy satellite the night before, played pretty well, unfortunately bubbled the buy-in, 7th place...made 150 but I hope to fair better this weekend. So far my experience has been pretty good at the Meadows poker room.

1/2 PLO has gotten off about once a week the past 3 weeks on different days and the 1/2 nl buy in is now $50 - $300

any limit h/l? The 1/2 PLO game at The Rivers is gross. Variance up the ass - impossible to sit down with under 2k to get through the swongs.

no but i'm sure there are players that would play it's just no one puts up an interest list. players have now seen if they put up a list they can get the games off. The meadows will spread any game you want, we had a 1/2 multi game hold'em, PLO and pineapple middle of this week. just show up some night sign up on a list and ask the host to make an announcement. The first time may be a little thin but once word gets out it will get stronger, just try to do it on the same nights every week. a 3/6 or 5/10 limit O8 will be a nice change.

There's two new changes at the Meadows.

The 1/2 NL max buy in has been raised to $300. I played twice this weekend and the action is definitely better with the higher buy in. The second change is a new weekly tournament schedule. The changes are mostly based around Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Schedule is posted here.

SO.... companies pay millions of dollars to advertise. Why doesnt the meadows use their website(which they already have access too) for anything... must not realize how big advertising is... I saw something about a $500 tourney giving away an ATV, but the website is still advertising a tournament for October 10th...... is it really that hard to update a website? I am sure they are losing a ton of customers that are not informed.

When i want to know something, the first thing i do is look on the internet for it. I am not going to drive to a place, or look up their phone number and wait for them to check on the answer and get back to me 5 minutes later... I would like to click the mouse a few times and be up to date. It is 2010, get with the times and update your website.

The rivers is just as bad of not informing anyone about anything, very unprofessional of both companies, maybe they dont like extra customers.

Amen! If you look back thru the posts, Ive been saying this forever, even wrote an email to the casino, not the poker room saying this would attract more guests and they still dont update the site. How big could their tournaments be if people knew what was going on? Ive shown up at Meadows twice for tourneys posted on the website, and when I get to the cashier they say theyve replaced these games with satellites to other tournaments. I didnt go to play satellites, especially to tourneys that I couldnt attend if I won due to my work schedule. Wont make that mistake again. Very unproffesional.

Haven't had a chance to play since the increased buy-in. Is everyone taking advantage of that though??? I see so many people buying in for less than the $200 max! I'm sure only the good players that realize how much of an advantage this is will actually buy in for the full $300.

Any thoughts???

I coud not possibly agree more!!

I would volunteer to do the site (I have a company that does website development) but getting the information for the site will still be like pulling teeth.

I wonder if peter or donna even look at this forum... these are the most important comments by players that like to or want to play at the meadows. They are probably just taking their paychecks and dont care about the moral of the players. I would love to be in their position(I would take pride in my job though, I wouldnt just do it for the money.)

5 hotels near the meadows that the casino bus picks up and drops off at. 1/2 games now have a $300 max buy-in tournaments through out the week-end if you wish to play them 2/5 is a great game time rake $6/half hour good action sometimes the table even turns in to a 2/5/10 game. $1 per hour comp you can use on food promotional drawings all week-end long. And if you ask the Meadows staff will be happy to comp you some drinks and even get you a discount at the Holiday inn. and usually about once a week-end 1/2 PLO if you are interested also time raked.

hello all, Im a dealer here at the meadows and I would like to comment on the upcoming December tour. series. The last big tour. in early November I personally saw at least 7 people who had cashed in mid to higher WPT and WSOP events that I know personally. As the buy-ins get bigger and the fields get bigger this room is getting bigger and better talent. The DEcember tour. series will hopfully even be better. If you havent tried us yet this might be your chance to play against some good players who are deep stack battle tested. And for those of you who are regulers thanks for your patronage and support my family deeply app. it.

gjpsr, is there any way you can get the management team at the Meadows to advertise this series on the Meadows website? The thing is 3 weeks away and I can't find any hint of it on their site. I'm no marketing genius, but if they advertise, they might get more business.

we do try to get it up there, management has to submit the info to the cannery's IT dept in Vegas they do the web page maint and it seem to take a while for that to go through.
