Oh buddy! Dont get these guys started on play for your money! LOL We've been having this debate for a while. I felt the same way, not much else you could do to keep the tournament to one day though. I think a tourney with that kind of payout should prob. be 2 days, maybe Sat. all day, and Sun. afternoon final table or two tables. Problem is people in this area dont seem to love the game that way, they said people were complaining it was taking too long 6 hrs. into the game, for a $1000 buyin! Doesnt make sense to me but whatever.

Where did you get that information? It's not listed on the schedule as a sit-n-go?

When I got there Friday at 8, I asked how many runners they got, the dealer told me it was a S&G.

Dealer was confused. I just spoke with Peter. It is a regular tournament. This past week, it was accidentally advertised as a turbo and only 12 players entered. But the previous week it at 30 entrants.

My mistake, but that is good news. I would like to make it out there for one soon.

I played the midnight tourney this past Saturday. they had 94 players. Top 10 got paid. Prize pool was just under 3k, with first taking a little over 1300. Play was pretty aggressive, but i guess that's to be expected with 12 minute levels. The dealers did a real nice job keeping the action going so you got in as many hands as possible for each level. All in all a pretty decent tournament, i would play it again. I was surprised at how dead the room was though. I got there at about 1130 and i think they had maybe 5 cash tables going. didn't seem like a lot of people stayed around after they busted from the tourney to play either. When i busted at 230, i think they had 2 tables going.

Get there around 7, play before the tourney, it will be pretty packed, the midnight tourney does pretty much kill the cash action though, not a poker room like AC or Vegas, not a big town, mostly locals playing after work and calling it a night and going home instead of going until 5.

Uh oh. Shooting at cars on 70? I need to drive through there today.

What are my odds there- is it like chance of facing a set type of risk or just chance of facing a royal flush?

Thx

Three cars and a couple houses. all random. The story is on the pittsburghchannel.com, from 9/28 i think. I haven't heard anything about it today, so i imagine the person doing the shooting is still out there somewhere.

Are those satellite for sure correct? Whoever I called and talked with today did not seem to have a very good idea about them, wish they would just put up information about the tournament/satellites on their website. Makes no sense to try to run a tournament, but then only advertise in the card room itself.. they could really improve turnout by taking 10 minutes of effort and updating their website lol.

Are they awarding only one seat per satellite?

I actually wrote an email to the casino about how out of date their website is, and how many more players they would attract with up to date information, especially on upcoming tournaments. Doesnt seem to have helped, they will prob say they are too busy, but if youve been to this room any weekday, day or night, you know they have plenty of time on their hands. I showed up to play in a friday tournament that was posted on the website, just to find out they had decided to cancel it when I get to the cashier window, to hold satellites for a tournament that only drew 70 players. I drove an hour and a half to get there, had to play cash on a short bankroll b/c I really was only there to play the tourney, and had to wait until midnight to play in a tournament when I was then ready to go home. Stupid.
