See you all there!!!

This will be my most frequent casino for sure. Probably won't be able to make it out till sunday morning though, too much life happening from now till then.

So glad I don't have to keep driving down 70 the whole way to wheeling, just hope this room is better then wheeling was.

I really want to avoid Rivers out of principle, with the whole arena, bankruptcy, new owner BS that has transpired there.

Also, this is super ideal for those who just want to give their wives some money and send them to the outlet for several hours.

Hope Meadows puts together a decent poker room and casino because if they do, they will rise to the top of all PA since they already have the racetrack and the outlet mall for women

Please report if they get a 5/10 or 10/20 Limit game going. I will drive an extra 30mins to play 10/20 limit.

Any trip report from the Meadows yet? I was going to assume both the Rivers and Meadows would hold similar volume - at least for a bit.

They will start any game you want...when I left there today at around 9 PM they had:

2/4, 5/10 limit
1/2, 2/5, 5/10 NL
1/2 PLO H/L
2/4, 3/6 LO
1/5/7 stud

They will start a list of interest for whatever you want.

For example there will be a 25/50 NL going tomorrow night...YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT!

Meadows has 2 more tables than Rivers.

The player flow was great...small wait lists...you will be able to phone ahead eventually to be placed on the list (they just need their phone number set up in the room).

1/2 was pretty damn soft imo!

$0.50/hour comps for all games...they are trying to get that bumbed up to $1/hour.

2/5 NL is a time rake ($6/half hour) and that increses as you go up in levels (i.e. 5/10 NL is $7/half hour).

Dealers are mostly former Wheeling and Mountineer with a few newbies mixed in...overall good!

What are hours for the room right now?

Also, does anyone know if the age minimum is 18 or 21? 2 months til my 21st, we just got table games in wv, but you have to be 21.

Are they dropping for a BBJP yet or no? Also, are the games like the 2-5 and 5-10 NL mandatory must moves? Looking forward to playing here soon. Also wondering what the buyin limits have been set at. For instance, is the 5-10 capped at $1000 and will that huge 25-50 game be uncapped?

Just curious what the atmosphere is like? Is it noisy? Smokey? Proximity to bathroom? Food any good? Waitresses hawt? Sounds like a blast, I've been out of the game for the last few years but having two card rooms within a 45min drive is going to get me back in action. Will probably become a regular weekend warrior at Meadows. Can't wait.

good question on the smoking. On their website, it shows the poker room being a smoking area, is this true?

Poker room is actually a room and no slots on the floor go to https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=h...&embedded=true to see the layout

It seems to be non smoking as well.

This is exactly the map that makes me think it's smoking, it's surrounded by that purple boarder which would seem to indicate 'smoking'...

edit...
that is a different map than I saw on their website last week, exactly the same with a small difference in the location of the cardroom... the updated this, thanks. I assume the poker room is on the right then? and the BJ tables, etc are on the left?

Any reports on play, how the room operated as far as management/dealers, and overall feelings?

Just from post count it seems that Rivers had a much larger crowd than the Meadows, but that could just be a false impression?

Not dropping for a BBJ yet.

No must moves that I know of.

100BB buy in for NL games...not sure about the 25/50 NL game!

Non-smoking room (not sure if there are any public smoking rooms left in the country??)

Bar inside the poker room.

Bathrooms JUST outside the poker room.

Lots of food options, both inside the room and outside the room.

Agreed!

The Meadows will be, BY FAR, a better place to play in the long run than the Rivers.

1/2 was SOFT imo!!!

They have a TON of floor sups...they are on the ball!

Dealers were 75% vets...the rooks were nervous but ok. I even had a newbie on a hand shuffle table for 1.5 hours straight.

Over all feelings..........$$$$$$

I just got back from there. Pokerroom is beautiful. Tables have a betting line and seem larger then the tables at Mountaineer. Chairs are padded with wheels. Floor was helpful signing me up for every game I was interested (10/20 limit, 1/2 PLO) but alas the only games going were 1/2, 2/5 NL and 2/4, 3/6 limit.
Dealers were 2/3 Wheeling Dealers and 1/3 Mountaineer dealers and I think the floor was about the same makeup.
Most rules seemed to be Wheeling rules. $200 max buyin for 1/2 and a Traveling button (blech!). They had many chip runners but you couldn't buy chips from the dealers which meant some players missed hands if they had to rebuy. The cage only had one cashier working most of the day so despite the number of chip runners they were often waiting in line for chips.
Overall the comfort, atmosphere and feel of this room will make it the best place to play poker in Western PA. I'm extremely happy with how well everything was ran on the 2nd day of operation.
My NL game wasn't particularly good but I managed a small $88 win in about 4 hours of play. I will definitely be back and probably will make that my go-to poker room though I will still check out the Rivers out of curiosity.

5/10 NL also running.

Traveling Button is Peter's decision (second the blech!)

You COULD buy from the dealers...they just prefer you buy your first rack from the cage as to not slow down the proress of the game.

100-150BB buy in is pretty standard. What are you looking for exactly?? Just play 2/5NL ($500 max) or 5/10NL (1k max).
